BOOK THIS!! - We booked a couple of different activities, and this was our favorite BY FAR!! Shane and Captain Neil were AMAZING! My husband and I had a great time learning to surf and caught some good waves!! I almost backed out because I am #1, not a confident swimmer, and #2, not exactly a fit person, but Shane and Captain Neil made this experience so great. They were super knowledgeable, safe, and patient with us. They don't take on more students then they can handle so we got a one on one experience. Both instructors have so much experience you are truly in the best of hands! Seriously, book this, you won't regret it!!

Best Surf Lessons in Waikiki - Shane and Captain Neil are awesome! We had the best surf lesson in Waikiki, everyone in our group was able to stand up and surf with their guidance and positive motivation. Even when our arms were tired from paddling, they helped push us along, which was very helpful. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. We highly recommend them to anyone wanting to learn to surf in Hawaii, very friendly, great people!

Family surf Waikiki - We had an amazing experience!!! Shane, Captain Neil, & Kama were so awesome & 💯 experts!! 🤩 Most important to me was that we felt safe & comfortable out there & they definitely made us feel that way. Best Instructors EVER, Especially for Beginner Surfers! - I've been wanting to surf my entire life. I grew up going to Hawaii almost every summer for family reunions, but never caught any waves. Decided to take the leap while here on business, and I'm SO thankful I took a lesson with Shane and Captain Neil! I called them and they were able to do a discounted lesson since I was just attending myself. I was super nervous about getting hurt and just nervous in general, but they were the BEST instructors you could ever ask for. Super nice and friendly, even brought me a reef shirt to wear! The personalized, 1:1 lesson was the best way to go, in my opinion. It helped having constant instruction and getting help paddling when my arms tired out lol. I was so impressed by how quickly I was able to pick up surfing, and I couldn't have done it without these amazing, patient instructors. Considering booking a second lesson before I fly home, thank you both Shane and Captain Neil for making my work-cation one to remember!

We’re Coming Back Next Year! - 10/10. We met Shane and Neal because initially we had planned to teach ourselves… Shane came by in the water and gave us a free mini lesson, helped us get up our first time no cost at all. Find another surf school like that! We came for a formal lesson on our LAST day and had a blast. All the other instructors in the area cancelled that day but Shane and Neal held strong!! We got some nice surfing, went for tacos afterwards. Thanks guys, really loved hanging out!!

Spirit of Aloha - I thoroughly enjoyed my surfing adventure with Adventures in Paradise. From the very start the attentive staff ensured we were well cared for. Our group lesson was very well organized starting out with clear instructions on proper technique to ensure all beginners would have a successful experience. We then practiced each step to stand and ride in a shallow cove to build everyone’s confidence before heading out to the waves. The team gave each individual a full experience and all parties caught and rode multiple waves. The staff were so encouraging and each person was cheered on by the entire group. Adventures in Paradise is a great value for the money and the opportunity to learn to surf in beautiful Hawaii. The friendly staff shared the true spirit of Aloha with us all.

Excellent Surf Lessons - I booked for my fiancés birthday and he thought it was the best present. The teaching was great and we had plenty of time on the water.

I’d book them multiple times - My boyfriends boss booked this for a small group of us. I went in not knowing what to expect, a first timer to Hawaii and never having surfed before. Like a newbie, I showed up in a bikini (lol) vs a swim shirt and thankfully they had one to lend me. We started with a small instructive lesson which was very helpful. I got up very quickly but only because of how amazing Shane and Neil were! First of all, fastest paddlers out there. He would put his feet on the edge of my board and paddle both of us faster than I could paddle myself. Either way, we caught SO many waves, has multiple opportunities to implement their feedback and keep trying. I was riding waves for 50-100 ft I’d say and although I was tired I was ready for more. You can feel their spirit and true passion for surfing during the lesson. 10/10 would recommend this lesson by Shane and Neil. I truly couldn’t imagine a better first time experience.
