Highlights
  • Reichsparteigelande (Nazi Party Rally Grounds) - My 3-hour Nazi Party Rally Grounds Walking Tour takes place in the southeast corner of Nuremberg, where even to this day, the remains of structures on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds impress visitors with their immense proportions. During my Nazi Party Rally Grounds Tour we will visit the Luitpold Arena site, the Congress Hall, the Congress Hall Gallery, the Great Road, and the Zeppelin Field. We will explore the functions and intended effect of National Socialist architecture as well as how the Party Rally events were stage-managed. It is possible to customize this tour as well and I’ll be happy to give you a quote for any Nuremberg tour variation that you want. For example, you might want to consider my Nuremberg WW2 Combo tour. My Nazi Party Rally Grounds tour lasts 3 hours and is a leisurely, kid-friendly, walking tour.

PLEASE NOTE: This tour can also be driven if you’d like to do it in less than 3 hours. The material covered and the tour price are the same.

Additional Information

My name is Kevin and I like to think of myself more as a cultural decipherer than a teacher (who transmits knowledge) or a tour guide (who simply highlights sights). I host immersive strolls and spontaneous cultural interactions.

My style of imparting knowledge encourages my visitors to draw their own conclusions as a tour which is solely informative verges on being mere edutainment.

The most impactful tours are those that stimulate thoughts and emotions. Reflecting on this, consider the lasting impressions made on visitors by the remnants of edifices at the southeast end of Nuremberg, on the expanse of the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds. The gargantuan size of these structures is a palpable reminder of the National Socialist government’s megalomania. This 4 square mile patch was designed to be a grand stage for Nazi party assemblies and to project their authority, not just to Germany, but to the entire world.

This excursion is operational regardless of weather conditions.

Nuremberg tour - Kevin was very knowledgeable and interesting. He was on time and delivered exactly what he had promised. He was so accommodating, he even took off to our embarkation port instead of back to the hotel.

Great tour experience - I thoroughly enjoyed my Nazi Rally Grounds tour with Kevin. He was punctual and very personable. It was nice to visit with an American and being able to ask delicate questions that might otherwise be awkward to ask a German guide. Kevin was knowledgeable, professional and insightful. The time flew by! It was fun talking to someone who shared the same interest and passion for this period in world history. My only regret is that I didn’t do his Palace of Justice tour too. I would recommend his tour services to anyone going to Nuremberg.

Great & informative Nazi Party Rally Grounds tour - Kevin gave us a great tour of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nürnberg. He picked us up at our Airbnb right on time and then showed us around the grounds. It was clear from the start that he has lots of knowledge about the Second World War. He also brought pictures of what the sites used to look like, which really helped bring his stories to life. If you want a tour guide who is great at conveying a difficult history in a fun and informative way, Kevin's your guy!

Don’t visit Nuremberg without learning it’s history with Kevin - 4 of us scheduled the WW2 tour- it exceeded our expectations. Kevin has great photos to accompany his tours and has fantastic knowledge and stories to tell. We made several stops around Nuremberg to see places Hitler had been and held rallies. After our WW2 tour, he drove us thru the OldTowne to point out highlights to us such as the oldest cathedral, half timbered homes, and other historical sites. We’ve been to Nuremberg a few times before - but this past trip, after our tour with Kevin- it put a whole new perspective on that area for us. He also recommended a great coffee/pastry shop to us and a delicious sausage restaurant to us near St Sebald’s Cathedral

If you’re serious about learning about WWII, this is your guy! - Kevin’s knowledge is VAST and INTENSE and this makes everything so interesting. He delivers the history in a straightforward manner (and with an American accent it was easier for us to understand him) and he doesn’t mince words (which I appreciated!). He keeps the tour moving to fit it all in. His old photos that he presents as part of his tour really help paint a picture of what these sites used to be. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kevin if you’re interested in learning about WWII!!!

Thought-provoking walking tour of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds with Kevin - For any visitors to Nuremberg seeking a better understanding of this Bavarian city's importance during the World War II/National Socialism era, I highly recommend booking a tour with Kevin. Kevin is prompt and professional, and was even very patient with our inquisitive seven-year-old! His vehicle is spotlessly clean and comfortable, and he was careful to abide by the current Covid-19 guidelines throughout the course our our three-hour tour. We left Nuremberg having learned so much due to Kevin's wide-ranging knowledge and preparation. His photos from the past really helped to tell the whole story.
