Las Caletas with Vallarta Adventures was truly a great trip for our family! - I just want to say that our experience with Vallarta Adventures going to Las Caletas was amazing. The boat staff- Chi, Omar, Alberto(spelling?) were so much fun and the entertainment was so funny and entertaining. There is so much to do when you get to Las Caletas and time goes fast so you might not get everything in that you want to do. We did not pick any extra packages and glad we didn't cause we wouldn't have got to try out all the other amazing things to do. We tried out snorkeling, paddle boarding, zip line, the banana boat and the cooking lesson! The lunch they provided was sooo good and lots to choose from and my family are vegetarians and vegans. The cooking lesson is a must, so many fresh tasty dishes to make and try out. Definitely worth the money. A tip is to book directly with Vallarta Adventures, on line or you can phone them, at least 4 days before. Watch for online discounts!

BEST expereince in Mexcio! - 5/5 Hands down the best experience we've ever had! We did the Las Caletas which was great entertainment by the crew and lovely atmosphere. We didn't get to do all of the things and would love an all day option in order to take advantage of the entire island and what it has to offer. BUT the time we did have was amazing! Monkey's, cooking classes and snorkling were the highlights! Snorkeling on this side of the west coast isn't as great as the Caribbean, but still fun! The lunch provided was EXCEPTIONAL! Best food we had all week in Mexico! I wouldn't hesitate to do this experience again.

Ryan and Yolta - The Las Caletas experience was nice and we had a good time but Ryan and Yolta MADE this trip a 10/10 experience! They were the best people at the beach and the nicest with us. They were very professional with the boogie board activity and they helped us out so much with the trip. Definitely be sure to talk with them and get a genuine feeling of what Las Caletas is all about!

Relaxing vibe and open bar, but cramped boat and pricey - We visited as a cruise ship excursion booked through the cruise line. We tried to book originally through las Caletas, but they made us very uneasy when we spoke about not getting us back to the boat on time, and they actually told us to book through the boat (at a much higher cost). The boat ride was fun, but it was so jam-packed with people. Margaritas and rum punch were free flowing, but on the weaker side. Lunch was served upon arrival and it was surprisingly delicious. Fresh shrimp ceviche and other Mexican dishes. Open bar started and service was plentiful, just keep in mind that gratuity isn’t included and every staff member expects a tip. Seating is plentiful around the beaches, and paddle boards/kayaks are easy to get ahold of. My 4 year old enjoyed the ziplining and donkey ride, and my teen had fun with the bigger zip line and slide. On the way back to the boat we even saw a few humpbacks

Disappointed kids - We had some very disappointed kids. We were instructed to eat as soon as we arrived at the beach otherwise we would have no other opportunity to eat. So our boat arrived at 1:20, the kids adventure started at 1:40. (The main reason we booked the tour) so upon arrival, we stood in a line of people to get our food, which we shovelled down our throats as fast as possible and then ran to find the adventure park location. We arrived there at 1:52 and were told we were too late for the donkey rides and other activities. Two other groups came later to the adventure park with their 4 kids. (Making us have to wait even longer) At this point the guides begrudgingly took our kids on part of the zip line. Meanwhile the other group that arrived late put in a complaint/incident report and were compensated with a dolphin tour the next day. But because we didn’t fill out an incident report we were told too bad so sad. Hardly seems fair. The island was beautiful and it was a shame we didn’t get a chance to really experience it.

Time was too short! - We were very impressed by the staff of Vallarta Adventures and the staff at Las Caletas, they were helpful, friendly and hardworking. However, the trip ends up being very rushed and we didn't get to do all the activities offered as they close all activities at 1pm in order to serve lunch. Food was great though! We missed out doing the zipline, wave surfer, and water slide. Had we known, we would have gone to those activities first. For the cost, we should get a full day at Las Caletas to fit in all the activities including some time to relax on the beautiful beach. I wish we had known this before going.

Nice but for older kids and partiers. - We went to this excursion a few years ago. The boat rode was a nightmare. Totally packed, dangerous and the music was horrifically loud. We had a three year old and the drinking, a strip type show was inappropriate and weird. The island itself was really beautiful, but people were saving spots at the beach and at the bed/shade area which left no seats for anyone else. The staff did let us sit and told the double savers to take a hike tho. Pretty dangerous for littles, if they feel off the walk way areas they wouldn't survive. Good was good, drinks were too. Parrots were super cool! But again the ride back was full of loud screaming drunk people. Not family friendly
