Muchos gracias - Went on Mikes Fishing charter for a Stag Do/Bucks Party. From getting to the marina to getting out of marina we were all absolutely stoked with everything. The boat (Giselle) was immaculate, their equipment and knowledge was incredible and our crew led by Juan were incredibly fun and most of all - safe and professional. Helped us with acquiring beers at the marina at 7am, wrangling the Bonita fish into the back, stopped off at a private beach on way back and when it got too choppy - made the right call in turning back to calmer waters. We saw hump back whales fully breaching, they made us tacos and fresh ceviche from our catch of the day. Despite us all being heavily beer fuelled by the end of the day - they never let us get out of control and took great care of us. A must do for any family, stag do or boys/girls day out. Muchos gracias guys.

Caught two fish and saw a whale! - Posting for my dad: This was a six hour fishing excursion and we loved every bit of it. My nephew caught a skip jack tuna and my son in law caught a HUGE mahi-mahi. They made fresh ceviche on the boat with the tuna and let us bring the mahi-mahi back to shore with us where the resort cooked it up. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and helped us get right on the fish. The whole experience was amazing and we will definitely be returning in the near future!

Great fishing experience in Puerto Vallarta - Really just wanted to shout out Mariano and Tony Mony. Great Captain and 1st Mate that put my husband on his dream fish. It was a 7 hour trip that stayed in the bay. Thanksgiving time is a good time of year for most fish.

Mikes tours - We had great crew who gave it there dead level best to find us fish. I booked the longest charter I could find because I know by experience the longer your out the better your odds are for catching fish. My only disappointment was I paid for and 8 j hi our charter which I got but with only 5 hours of fishing . I felt we should have dropped lines in the water way before we did. We were and hour into our journey before the first lure hit the water. And we quit fishing with two hours left in our chartered time . Very disappointed we didn’t keep lines in the water on our way back into the marina at least for another hour. Next time I will know to ask exactly how this is going to go down. I spoke to many others in our hotel who spent much less and hay fished for 3 to 4 hours and caught way more fish than we did. Which was two jack fish (low end of the desirable fish to eat scale) The crew was very professional, and worked their tails off for the time we did fish . And the Boat more than meet my expectations. Just not enough fishing time for what I paid for is my only disappointment.

Fishing with Mike’s charters - A great morning on Karina II with Judith, William and Capt.Tony. It was a slightly overcast Boxing Day morning and an early start from a Harbour thronged with cruise ship traffic. The crew looked after us very well, changing to watch humpbacks for an hour when we didn’t get any early fishing action. Things stayed quiet later as the fish just didn’t seem hungry after the full moon but I caught a medium sized skipjack tuna that quickly became delicious ceviche thanks to our captain- turned- sous chef on our way home . A relaxing low key morning in Banderas Harbour

Lovely day but average experience - There was a misunderstanding about the start time so we got off a bit late. The Captain and Mate did not introduce themselves or asked us our names, perhaps because they were rushed from the start. We never even got a bite, which happens, but I think they could have made up for the lack of fishing by engaging our family more. On a four hour tour we mostly just sat and took in the sites. We did see some dolphins and whales which was a bonus. Better communication about the day could have improved our experience but they seem like a reputable company.

Bad option if you want Big Game Fishing - We went fishing for 2 days with this company (each day for 8 hours tours). It was a total waste of time and money. We were looking for big fish and in Puerto Vallarta you need to go 20+ miles from the shore to find big fish. Mike's yachts are probably the oldest in Puerto Vallarta, an average of 50 years old, so they cant go fast. It takes you about 3 hours to get to the fishing point, so you waste 70% of your time and money without fishing considering it also takes you 3 hours to get back to the marina. The crew tries to be helpful, but they lack of fishing experience. When we finally saw a sailfish, and we were trying to catch it, the captain came to help us because the mariner had no idea of what to do. The yacht needed to turn around, so the mariner moved it and totally messed up our chances because he moved the yatch to other direction. We also were very clear that we wanted a good sound system. The 2 yachts we had didnt even have a sound system. The crew said it got damaged the day before... ahaaa. So no music the entire trip. Finally I must say that the conditions of the Karina II are horrible. The only place you can sit down are 2 dirty and old couches. All the experience was very dissapointing. More when we remembered how much we paid. You can find cheaper and better options for sure. Im sad I didnt filter the 1-star reviews. They all make sense now.

DO NOT TRUST MIKE's!!!!!!! - We paid $1,200 to go deep sea fishing. After an hour cruising across the water, they told us we didn't have any bait. The whole point of the deep sea fishing was to fish. How can you fish without bait? We ended up turning around to go back, once we found out there wasn't any bait. This was a total waste of time and money. DO NOT RECOMMEND or TRUST THIS GROUP! Mike's is TERRIBLE. It is unbelievable how they can get away with things like this. Karma is a BXXXX! It will come back tenfold Mike! Thanks for nothing.

Bad day on the water - We were not told that the boat did not have any bait until we were way out in the bay. To kill time, because we had no bait, the captain just kept running through rough seas, and a few people started feeling ill. They tried to turn the trip into snorkeling cruhh it we, but they didn’t have snorkeling equipment. It was a horrible experience and an experience dive lesson learned. Do not use this service.
