- Via Mario Dadone, 34 - I will take you on a journey of time to discover the ancient sensations of Roman wine and you will understand how more than 2000 years ago our ancestors cultivated the vine and how they produced wine. It will also be possible to touch an ancient Roman press and the production amphorae with a visit. Finally we will taste together the ancient Roman wines: L’Aureum and Purpureum. Sensory characteristics and food pairing will be analyzed!

Having delved into two millennia of history, I have reintroduced two ancient Roman wines: Aureum and Purpureum, offering you an opportunity to embark on an olfactory trip back to the past! You are invited to explore our wine production museum and savour our offerings. I am Simone Tabusso, an archaeologist and sommelier, who has devoted 4 years to the research of winemaking techniques in ancient Rome via the interpretation of age-old Latin manuscripts and analysis of archaeological findings.
