Incredible city building that defies the laws of gravity! - We did our own half-day tour. When driving from Sarlat to Rocamadour, be sure to include the town of La Cave. The Château perched on the rocky cliff face is a sight to behold and gives you a pre-teste of what is coming at Rocamadour. By using this route, you will arrive at the top car parks at Rocamadour, assisting your visit. The walk to the village of this famous religious city, which clings to a vertiginous rock face, along the foot path, offers fantastic views of the remarkable buildings. The architecture defies the laws of gravity to soar towards God. The city was built by and for pilgrims. You simply must pay Rocamadour a visit.

Excellent tour of Rocamadour - This was a fabulous tour! Lena was the guide and it was a very small group. The tour allows you enough time to enjoy the town.. Lena took us around but then gave us some free time. I also was with Lena the prior day for the 3 villages and enjoyed that with her also. She was a terrific guide. Nice manner about her and very knowledgeable.

Stunning town - This would be one of the most beautiful towns in France that I have ever visited. It is absolutely stunning. We walked down the zigzag path, passing the 12 Stations of the Cross and there is information on all of them in both French and English. My daughter and I walked along the main street and then caught the lift which went half way to the top and transferred to cable car to the top. It was interesting to see all the houses and buildings built into the side of the hill, which is even more spectacular from the opposite bank, giving an excellent view. My only regret is that we had not booked our accommodation in Rocamadour rather than a nearby town. I would love to visit again and stay a couple of days and soak up the atmosphere. We then had lunch at a restaurant at the top but unfortunately I did not note the name!

Great tour - We had a great afternoon with our guide, Benoit. Domme is a pretty village & we enjoyed the boat ride very much. Begnat & the drive by Castel Noud were great, too.

Martin’s #1 fans - We did the cave tour the day before and were delighted to see our guide Martin again. It was a smaller group to Rocamadour, so it was fewer people interrupting his excellent storytelling. We began at the end of the via dolorosa and worked our way down, which is easier than going up the stairs. The shrine of the Black Madonna was intensely sacred. Like the caves, don’t take pictures of her! Sit and contemplate the mysteries.

Spectacular! - Our trip to Rocamadour was beyond excellent. We did not even notice the cloudy, drizzly weather because Bernoit took such great care of us. It is a tour I will never forget--I highly recommend it.

Best way to visit Rocamadour…………unless you’re a pilgrim on foot - Brilliant tour to Rocamadour. Don’t have to be religious to take in its significance. Lovely meander there and back through the Perigord. Highly recommended

Dordogne and Périgord a pleasant discovery. - Recommended a visit to Rocamadour very particular country for the location in which it was built and its history. Very interesting also the navigation in gabarre on the Dordogne river that flows at the foot of the village
