Amazing guide and lovely experience! - Today has been absolutely amazing! We came for our 12pm tour and had Darren give us the tour, and he was brilliant, very knowledgeable about everything and we had a great laugh. We received a lot of tasters of some amazing rum to try from, mainly of DropWorks rum, but also some others to show the difference in how they all taste and are made, and I received sample pouches to take home (as the driver)! All in all was a fabulous day and would definitely recommend! Can't wait to try these flavours!

Outstanding tour - Highly recommend this informative and enjoyable tour. A must that’s not just for rum lovers. Very impressed with Shawn’s knowledge of all things to do with distillation. The host Darren goes above and beyond to make it even more memorable as a visit. Last and by no means least, the rum is amazing! Make sure you’ve sorted a ‘des’ or a taxi to get the full benefit

Fan bloody tastic! - Amazing! Such good fun. We arrived early as we didn't know exactly where to go as the distillery is on the Wellebeck Estate. No problem, Darren met us and introduced us to Sean the distiller who is just so knowledgeable. We were part of a tour of 10 people, none of the parties knew each but no fear rum gets you talking. Darren is the most amazing host with interesting information about the history of the Wellbeck estate. The rums are all amazing and we please all rum connoisseurs. There is plenty of it and discounts for those doing the tour. We were sad that our taxi had to pick is up as we could have stayed so much longer. What a refreshing experience to see people genuinely enjoying what they do. Well done to you all and thank you!

Birthday rum tour - Booked it through Groupon ( as a birthday present)Sat nav is was right but slightly difficult to find as no signs to say where to go (it was explained why.) The tour was excellent Will was very informative and knew what he was talking about ( he couldn't give an answer which was the oldest rum on the shelf though lol) the cocktail before the tour was brilliant the history of how it came to Worksop was very good also. And what they are in the future .the tasting during the tour was good also after the tour was completed having a choice of a few more rums. Would highly recommend this tour. Would recommend that drop works could have their own engraved glasses to buy.

How to spend a dull October afternoon - Following a recommendation from family (along with the fact that it is on the doorstep and they now do Saturday tours) it was a trip worth taking. We do not regret it. Will was informative and passionate about his work, giving us the chance to ask questions throughout the tour, and clearly loves his rum. It didn't say Dropworks on the door so we walked past to start with, but Will was waiting at the door once we had turned round. We were greeted with a cocktail while we were told the brief history of how the distillery started. We then walked round as the process was explained. Drinks at the bar completed the tour - we could ask to try anything on the shelves even if it wasn't Dropworks' own rum, to enable us to sample the differences. Luckily neither of us were driving. Bottles can be purchased at the end of the tour. We narrowed it down to two, but clearly need to go back again for the others.

Very enjoyable! - Had a great time here. Will was a superb and welcoming host. Fascinating and historic venue being part of the Welbeck estate. Interesting story about the founding of the distillery. The stills were an impressive sight. But the best bit was the tastings! A delicious cocktail to start off. Then a series of tastings finish off the tour. It's about an 11 min walk from the big car park for the farm shop, cafe, garden centre and museum. So plenty to do while you are in the vicinity.

Just go!! - Fantastic tour and insight to starting the rum distillery 18 months ago. Will was a charming informative guide. I was the lucky one as I wasn't driving! Fascinating seeing the beautiful copper stills and then tasting the delicious rum. Refreshing that no pushy sales talk.. The rum spoke for itself so did land up buying 2 bottles!

Just visit, you won't regret it! - Hidden away in the vast Welbeck estate this place is amazing and really worth a visit, even if you don't like rum! The history of the startup, the building itself, the people and of course the explanation and demonstration of the process were fascinating. As for the rum, I went with an old seadog friend who just commented "that will do". High praise indeed!

Informative, relaxed and nothing hidden away…see it all as it is - Fantastic place tucked away on the Welbeck estate. Great tour from how the place was, renovation, start up, background of all those involved to how they are today and to what their aims are going forward… has achieved a lot in the year and a half from inception. Very detailed but informative tour of the rum making process and taste testing on the way ! No sales pitch, purely tasting, chatting and buy if you want to . Would thoroughly recommend to anyone , whether a rum fan or not.
