Chris B - Considering it was cold and wet the tour was great. We had most of the talking under the gazebo and then walked a little way to see the wall. Kevin was very interesting to listen to.

2 hour tour of Hadrians Wall - highly recommended - We had a 4 day break in Haltwhistle as part of a 70th birthday present to my hubby. I booked this tour with Ancient Britain based on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. We turned up to meet Kevin, who was in full auxiliary dress from the Brigantes tribe. It was very impressive. He spent about 30 minutes explaining about his dress attire and giving facts on the Romans. He also brought props to talk us though. He made the chat interactive which was fun. Once we had been de-briefed he changed attire and took us on the tour along the wall. He made stops every so often - which catered for the older of the group - and gave us more and more detail to soak up. We were extremely lucky with the weather which made the tour even more pleasurable. Everyone was asking questions of which Kevin answered because he has such a vast and deep knowledge....he really made the group connect and imparted information that was easily digestible (even for those like me who are NOT Roman nuts :-) and extremely interesting. Definitely recommend.....you wouldn't get half the fun or pleasure without Kevin as a tour guide.

Great informative walk - It was a very informative and interesting walk. The tour leader was very engaging and clearly knew his material. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Fantastic Guide and great experience - We were fortunate to have stumbled upon this 2 hour walking tour with Kevin. He is very knowledgeable about this area and Hadrian's wall. We learnt a lot about the history and kept us exploring more of this area for next two days. We travelled with two young kids and he was able to keep them engaged and entertained, even answered some of their trivial questions. The details of the Roman clothings, weapons were interesting and we had opportunity to get pictures ... Worth every penny... May be next time take a longer tour !!

Excellent Guided Tour of Hadrian's Wall - The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. We enjoyed the tour immensely and would recommend it to others. The tour was split into 2 parts, first provided some background information with the guide in full costume and then the walk, which was a great appetizer to explore further. To provide this info and walk at the same time would not have been as good.

Brilliant tour - This is a fantastic tour given by a brilliant guide. We had half an hour of information before we set off to see Hadrians Wall. We walked up to surprisingly intact wall and the remains of a fort. The guide really brought the landscape to life and pointed out things you would never have seen without him.

Fabulous tour of Hadrian’s wall - Our tour was fantastic. Kevin, the guide, was wonderfully knowledgeable about everything from history to geology. He was personable and went above and beyond to fit the tour to the group. There were no questions he couldn’t answer. Our only regret is that we didn’t do the longer tour. Highly recommend—and I rarely give a review. This tour is very worth your time.

Highlight at Hadrian's Wall! - Can't recommend this tour enough! Kevin is an excellent guide and made history come alive at Hadrian's Wall and was happy to answer all our questions. We had an absolute blast, thank you!
