Excellent tour with Aurora sighting - Johka is a great tour company. Our guide did a lot of research before we went out to be sure we were able to see the Auroras at a lovely, secluded spot. He was very knowledgeable and also had some really excellent photo equipment with him so he took lovely photos of us which we were sent a couple days later. I can highly recommend this company. Absolutely Amazing Tour and Guide - We had the pleasure to go on a Northern Light tour with Joona and the Johka team last week. It was absolutely amazing from start to end. Joona and the team were super nice, professional and really knowledgeable. We were lucky and only had to drive for 30 min. Almost instantly we saw the most amazing northern lights which was due to Joona‘s perfect timing and spot selection. Jhoka - I 110% recommend this tour and going with Jhoka is quite a experience, a small and local agency but truly professional, specially with Joona if possible he is really the miracle guy, he drove for hours until we saw the best northern light show, his service was outstanding he explained about northern lights and served warm blue berries juice with some cookies and end the tour with beautiful pictures and outstanding memories. Unless you are living in Finland for a year and can wait for the Northern lights to come to you, you need to go hunting! - I 100% recommend this experience and going with Jhoka, a small and local agency, specially with Joona if possible, whose service was outstanding. Best experience in Finland. I went with my family to Rovaniemi area for a couple of days to visit Santa, go to the Reindeer farms and Husky driving, and definitely in the hope of seeing Northern Lights. After waiting for a couple of days in the hope of seeing them ourselves, we decided to get a real tour for hunting, just as you would do in national parks to go find animals. You might think it's not as needed, but unless there is a real strong solar storm, which is very unlikely and only happen a couple of times a year, you really need to 1. go far enough from any light pollution (maybe even 2-3 hours drive) 2. Find a clear sky, which is really difficult in these areas in winter, as its usually very cloudy at night. 3. Fully understand weather forecast (because of clouds) and Solar activity forecast, which depends on many factors, and will help the guide know when there are chances of Auroras happening. Joona was an amazing guide, I believe we were the only ones finding Auroras that night, which wasn't the best for spotting lights. He also made sure we understood everything about Auroras, told us his ways and also made sure we saw other amazing things while waiting for the lights, such an amazing night sky with an awesome Milky way.

Best chances to see the lights! - We booked this tour because it was recommended to us by a friend. The lights were amazing and the photos came out super clear. And yes, you could see yourself as well, not just through a camera. My biggest thanks goes out to Joona, a true "aurora hunter" and passionate expert, who chased down the lights for hours. You can really feel the passion he has to find the best spots, explain how the lights form, how he can track them and how to take great photos with them. After the tour I even felt like a little aurora hunter myself and was able to understand and track down the lights a few days later in Kilpisjärvi. Thank you Joona!

Next-level Aurora hunting! - I can not recommend this tour enough! Before, I didn't know that the northern lights need to be "hunted". But in order to properly see them, they do! Our tour guide Joona, one of the few true aurora hunters in town, truly showed his expertise. He went to the greatest lengths to chase down the lights and passionately explained the phenomenon, together with all the stats and tools required to understand the aurora. The photos were amazing. If you want to see the northern lights, book this tour. Other tours might drive you 15 minutes out of Rovaniemi but this tour really makes sure you see the best lights of that night. Even if that means hours of driving!

Better than you would believe!! Thanks Joona!! - Fantastic outcome! Joona Forsgren is an excellent aurora guide and photographer!! When the geomagnetic activity combines with clear skies, magic happens - beautiful auroras of green and red tone were seen. His knowledge and speed with which he reacts make the necessary tools for chasing, and catching the Northern Lights!!!
