Additional Information
Embark on a journey of ice fishing on a frozen lake near North Pole. This presents the perfect ice fishing activity in Fairbanks, Alaska, as you will get to fish from within a heated cabin equipped with electricity! You’ll enjoy warmth and comfort as you fish via holes in the cabin floor leading into the ice. Enjoy a hot chocolate whilst you feel the pull of fish on your line. This Alaskan ritual is expert-led, and at the end, we’ll be serving the freshly caught fish right off the grill!

A must for those visiting in the cold weather months! - We had a great time on this tour! It is a must for anyone visiting in the cold months.
It was a very cold day, so we really appreciated the heated cabin and warm drinks.
Our guide, Trevor, was AMAZING! He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He taught us fishing techniques and shared a lot of fun and local knowledge. He was the best! Highly recommend this activity!

Go with Rod, you won’t go wrong. - Patient, friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable.
All words you want to be able to use in describing a guide.
And all words you can definitely use to describe our ice fishing guide, Mike.
Went with the family (wife and 2 kids, 12 and 11), and although we didn’t do that well snagging fish we had a good time and enjoyed the experience.
Terrific time was had by those of us in the cabin and he cooked up a mean king salmon (caught by more fortunate fishermen) for us to share.
Recommended and I would definitely not hesitate to utilize Rod’s Service again.

Lots of fun! - Mike was an amazing tour guide. Very knowledge, funny and was very conversational while we were fishing. The cabin was warm and really fun. Our group caught quite a few fish and had enough for everyone to eat.

Wonderful Day Ice Fishing - My husband and I went ice fishing. We caught several small fish and King Salmon and a Rainbow Trout! We had a blast! Mike was such a great guide. He was very helpful with fishing and finding other interesting things to do around Fairbanks!!

Our best experience in Alaska - The fishing experience is comprehensive with both inside and out trials, from digging holes to fishing and cooking. The grilled fish is so tasty, and there are sleds to play with! My friends asked me to write the review.

Fun Times - The experience was wonderful. I enjoy ice fishing inside and outside. The cabin was warm and comfortable and I liked the availability of hot chocolate and a variety of teas. Trevor was a great host, telling us story’s of living in Alaska very entertaining while we were fishing. Showed us beautiful pictures of the Aurora. When we left a bald eagle had landed and he fed the eagle fish heads so we could get pictures. So wonderful. I would highly recommended this experience.

First Time Ice Fishing! - Great experience! My husband and I caught a total of three fish! Patience is key! Mike was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. You can take turns fishing inside and outside the cabin and use an outhouse as a restroom that is within sight. We recommend it as a relaxing experience to enjoy nature in Alaska!

Classic Alaska! Guide, cabin, gear and activity perfect. - So fun. Trevor, our guide, was great. So knowledgeable, with a rich trove of past experiences that he shares thoughtfully as he also listens to the group. He created a little temporary “team of ice fisherman” - meeting and joking and fishing with the other folks in the cabin was a big part of the fun. Oh, and Trevor’s reindeer sausage is amazing - earthy spices perfectly bbq-ed on the spot!

Ice Fishing at its finest with a great fisherman guide! - The tour guide/fisherman Mike was very knowledgeable about ice fishing. He was professional and determined to create a unique experience for us. He was encouraging and provided us with strategies to be the best fisher people possible. Although, I wasn’t successful catching a fish this was a fun and memorable activity. I would highly recommend it.
