We joined the Aurora Ice... - We joined the Aurora Ice Fishing tour at Chena Lake and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We fished comfortably inside a warm little cabin, and at the end our guide cooked the fresh-caught fish for us — it wasn’t big, but it tasted delicious! When we stepped outside, we were lucky enough to see the northern lights as well.
Our tour guide was a young guy who shared lots of interesting local stories and made the whole trip fun and engaging. Highly recommend this experience if you’re visiting Fairbanks!

I had a very good time... - I had a very good time ice fishing thanks to our guides. Aiden and Tyson were very patient with us when we struggled to get fish and were excellent cooks. Their cooking made the wait worth it

Great cozy ice fishing experience! - We had a great experience ice fishing with our guide Michael! The little wooden cabin was very cozy and we were able to see shooting stars outside. It was our first time fishing ever and we were able to catch dozens of fishes. The experience was made even more fun by our guide Michael’s warm and inviting personality and his fascinating stories. It was definitely a special memory for us and we loved hanging out with Michael!

Lots of fish! Saw the aurora! Great guide! - Wow, what a fun trip. Highly recommend. We did the option of having a driver as I did not want to drive in snow and ice. Tyson was great! He picked us up on time and was great. He was telling us about local areas and points of interest. Tyson was also our fishing guide. Showed us the aurora when it was barely visible and then let us know to go out on the ice when the aurora was booming. We caught tons of fish! 30+ each. He cooked them up and we has a delicious dinner. This will be one all time favorite vacation memories.

Our experience with Alaska Fishing and Adventures was absolutely incredible, thanks to our amazing guide, Tyson! From start to finish, he made sure our ice fishing adventure was both exciting and comfortable, providing top-notch gear, expert guidance, and plenty of great stories along the way.
Tyson’s knowledge of the area was impressive, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. The highlight of the trip? Witnessing the breathtaking Aurora Borealis under the vast Alaskan sky—it was truly magical!
If you’re looking for an authentic, well-organized, and unforgettable Alaskan adventure, look no further. Huge thanks to Tyson and the entire team—we’ll definitely be back!

Terrific Aurora and fishing experience! - This experience was SO MUCH FUN! I really didn’t know what to expect with our first time ice fishing, but Tyson took such good care of us. While it was windchill of -16* outside, it was a toasty 70* inside of our fishing cabin. We caught fish, told stories, laughed & had a wonderful meal (prepared fresh by our fishing guide, Tyson). It was all FIRST CLASS!!
I would recommend this tour to everyone!! Even those who may not be that into fishing. Tyson kept a lookout on the cold winter sky, and when the Aurora was presenting herself, we all rushed out for perfect photos!

Aurora ice fishing tour is incredible - I strongly recommend everyone visiting Fairbanks Alaska to book an aurora ice fishing tour. It was incredible. The cabins you fish in is stocked with everything you need to fish and stay warm. The tour guide Tyson cooks an amazing dinner for you while you fish and in between catch you can go out to take pictures of the aurora. The lake location is perfect for capturing the best color or the northern lights. It's an excellent experience and a lot of fun

Expensive disappointment - I was rather disappointed with this tour, especially given the steep price. We were crammed into a small van like sardines, and the cabin on the ice was far too tight—12 people plus a guide in a space no larger than 8’ x 24’. The fishing setup felt cramped, with everyone shoulder to shoulder around 8” pre-drilled holes. While the guide was friendly and helpful, the culinary experience was underwhelming. For the cost, I’d recommend skipping this tour and opting for a daytime outdoor fishing experience instead.
