Gorgeous - Nothing to say it was great, the staff at the top, it's magnificent it's an activity to do if you come to Gili. If you can do the activity in private it’s even better

Turtle tour that will make smile the rest of your holiday!! - We chose to use a litteratur more money and do the private tour. Definitely worth the extra money. A team existing of after and two sons took care of us. Fantastic people. They have a standard route, but when they saw the traffic around the island suggested to mix it up so that we would be at the snorkelling places by ourselves instead of with 3/4 other group boats. Skill full divers that know the erea. Like they said “take your time we do sell an experience and not hours” They certainly did. What a great day!!! Thank you so much.

Recommended - Fantastic. We booked late in the evening to leave at 7am the next morning for a private trip. With in no time at all I had been messaged on WhatsApp and provided with all the details. The next morning we were met at our hotel and escorted to the site to start our journey from Gili Air. The whole trip was relaxing with plenty of time to explore and take our time, we really enjoyed our breakfast on the beach on Gili Meno. All the sites we visited were reasonably quiet so I would definitely recommend an earlier morning trip. When we found a turtle there were maybe 3 or 4 other people which was nice.

Bit rushed and too crowded - Unfortunately this snorkel tour goes to all the same spots as other tours which makes it crowded and less enjoyable. I spent more time watching out for other snorkellers than watching fish and turtles. You also don't stay near the boat, instead they drop you off and then you swim back to the boat. But they don't explain that, or how long the swim will be, or if there are safety concerns (eg we got caught in strong currents at one location). Seeing the turtles was amazing, but it felt very rushed. Suggest getting a private boat instead.

Good for the price but many people - The staff is very informative and super nice. But the boat is simply too full. It wasn't a very big boat, but there were 30 of us on it, which also meant that there were always a minimum of 3 people there where we snorkelled. For the price it is a nice tour, but we would probably have chosen a private tour if we had to do it again.

Good but the trip should have ended after the snorkeling - The booking online was easy enough and we got told we would get a Whatsapp at least one day prior with the departure details, we did not and had to chase. We asked the operator what the balance in IDR was so we knew how much to bring with us, in the morning when we arrived and went to pay the balance they asked us for more than we were told but backed down when we showed them the operator email. The boat was quite small and didn't feel too cramped which I liked, the glass bottom was rather entertaining as it was hardly anything to rave about. The 3 stops were good, fairly busy with the other tour boats but we all saw plenty. Annoyingly after the last snorkel we all thought it was finished we were taken to another island and told this was the lunch stop, which was odd as lunch wasn't included and we didn't want to be told this is where we should eat. There was nothing else see or do so we had to wait for those who did eat before we could head back to gili t.

Good trip but not as advertised - Overall it was a good trip. We opted for a private tour. Highlights 1. Our final guides were very kind and accomodating. 2. Nice snorkeling sites with ample time at each. Disappointments 1. Our guide and boat was changed twice after starting the trip with no explanation as to why or who anyone was. We were told we'd be picked up by a crew member to meet our guide. But when I asked where our guide was (after being transported from one island to another). I was told he was on another island and would not be coming. So we set off with the person who picked us up in a speedboat. Along the way he found a coworker of his and turned our boat around and passed us off to the coworker to be out guide. Again no explanation as to why or who the new person was until we asked questions. Felt odd not to be informed of changes is boats or tour guides and just passed around. 2. Neither of the boats we were transferred to were glass bottom as advertised. 3. We were not taken snorkeling on or around Gili Air. When I inquired I was told snorkeling there is managed mainly by the locals. 100% understandable but I don't think it should be advertised as part of the tour if it's not offered. Overall it was a nice day but I was disappointed with not being provided what was advertised and being shuffled around without explanation or introductions.

Zero Eco Sustainability - Zero respect for the marine environment; there is no instruction to guests to refrain from harassing turtles, standing on the coral, touching marine life, etc…the only thing that matters is getting the photo for the guest which may make the guest happy but is destroying the environment this business relies on. Allowing guests to smoke cigarettes on the boat, which they ash into the water, in addition to being disrespectful to non-smokers confined in a small area, was vile. My snorkel was past it’s prime and the valve constantly leaked, leaving me with a mouth full of water. No weight belts available. There is a strong current and there were several guests that could hardly swim, nonetheless fight the current, there should be a tow rope for these people. They need to limit how many boats can be in any one spot at a time, way too many people out in the water to be safe, never mind enjoyable.

Overpriced, overcrowded, rushed - 1 sfar only for the beatiful Nature! The boat had more than 35 people instead of the promissed 14. the statues corals and so on was rushed a lot! We had like only 30 min total in water! The trip ended in a restaurant. It was about 2 hrs in a restaurant of their chosing with mediokre food. Then it went strait to gili T. Overpriced, overcrowded, rushed… dont be eager to pln this in advance… I would suggest to search in Gili R for locals, we could bargain the other trip for 100k per person which was amazing!

Book locally and avoid Viator - Do not bother booking with Viator. Book locally. We booked in advance with Viator. No one knew any about our booking. Took a few calls calls and over 20 minutes to resolve. Viator customer support were of no hope. They just text me the meeting details! Booking locally would have been cheaper as well. Eventually was put on a tour by the local company, although the itinerary was different to what we had booked
