Tulip Experience Amsterdam - Learn everything about the tulips. At the museum, we take you on the tulip’s journey around the world. From its discovery in Kazakhstan around the year 1000 to its current status as an icon of the Netherlands. You will find out all about the tulip and learn in an interactive way about the cycle of bulb cultivation using state-of-the-art machinery and old objects (from before 1950). Follow the story of the tulip through the eyes of the bulb grower!
After the museum, the Experience continues outside and you will step into a beautiful palette of colours. In the show garden, 1 million tulips are planted in 700 different varieties of tulips. All tulip varieties come from our own nursery. The show garden also has a number of special photo points for taking the perfect picture!
At the end of the Tulp Experience you can pick your own tulips for free! - Keukenhof - Enjoy a private trip to the most beautiful flowers of Holland at the Keukenhof. Over 7 million bulbs will bloom this spring, with a total of 800 varieties of tulips. A unique, unforgettable experience! You have skip the line tickets so you can go directly inside the Keukenhof gardens.
You will have approx. 2.5 hours free time for yourself in the flower gardens.

At our museum, we guide you through the international voyage of the tulip, from its initial discovery in Kazakhstan circa 1000, to its present emblematic representation of the Netherlands. Engage interactively and dig deep into the cultivation process of tulip bulbs, using a blend of cutting-edge machinery and historical artifacts (prior to 1950).
Following your museum exploration, your journey extends outdoors where you get to experience a stunning array of colors. In our display garden, we boast of a million tulips, across a stunning 700 different varieties, all of which hail from our very own nursery. The garden also offers special vantage points for capturing memorable photographs!
Subsequent to the Tulip Experience, we invite you to the breathtaking Keukenhof flower gardens wherein spring witnesses the blooming of over 7 million bulbs, consisting of an awe-inspiring 800 tulip varieties. An experience like no other and one that you will surely cherish!
Transportation to and from Amsterdam is arranged. You may opt for an early or late tour to avoid large gatherings.
- We provide 24/7 services and to confirm bookings or for questions please contact us during our opening times from Monday - Friday from 08:30 AM till 06:00 PM CET. Saturday and Sunday our office is closed.
- We reccomend to visit the Keukenhof in April because then you will see the most flowers.
- This is a private tour so no other people will join in the car

Worth the $$$ - This made the trip to see the tulips so easy. All the other tours were on big busses with masses of people. We were picked up at our hotel on time and the driver was wonderful. He took us right past all the lines and right into the tulip experience and into Keukenhoff. He even took lots of family photos for us at the first stop in the Field. Truly you can’t even imagine the number of cars and tourists who visit the gardens and to walk right past everyone was such a treat and allowed us soooo much more time walking the garden rather than waiting in line. Worth it!

This private tour was... - This private tour was great. Our driver was very informative and shared quite a bit about the history and background of the two places we visited--The Tulip Experience as well as Keukenhof Gardens. When I booked this I thought it was just a driver to take us to and from the Gardens but the information he shared made it a richer experience for us.

Stress-free experience - Getting to Keukenhof from Amsterdam is not straightforward, and the crowds are ubiquitous. So anything that can make a day trip to Keukenhof easier is worth it.
Luckily, Gavin, the driver for the day, made this a very easy, stress-free experience on the day. He arrived early at my hotel, and was polite and attentive for the entire trip. His English is perfect, so there were no communication issues. The car was extremely comfortable, his driving skills were excellent, and he provided both water and wi-fi during the ride. When we arrived at Keukenhof, he got me straight in to the gardens, and also came in with me to help me get my bearings and to point out some of the key locations within the gardens, before leaving me to wander on my own as I wished.
However, if you want to visit Keukenhof, I would recommend that, if possible, you not visit on the last day, as my schedule forced me to do. While the experience was still worthwhile, the gardens lost some of their full wow factor because many of the tulips had either died or were just about to do so.
