A Day of Discovery: The Jeep Tour Begins

As a former professional surfer, I’ve always been drawn to the ocean’s call, but this time, I decided to trade my surfboard for a jeep and explore Aruba’s hidden gems on a thrilling safari tour. The allure of an 8-hour adventure through Aruba’s rugged landscapes was too tempting to resist. With Andrew as our guide, we embarked on a journey that promised both excitement and relaxation.

Our first stop was the Arikok National Park, a vast expanse of natural beauty where cacti stand tall against the backdrop of the ocean. We indulged in a delicious meal at Big Mama Grill before setting up our loungers right by the water’s edge. The beach was surprisingly uncrowded, allowing us to bask in the sun and enjoy the calm, clear waters. Swimming alongside a sea turtle was a highlight, a reminder of the ocean’s wonders that I hold dear. The gentle waves and the vibrant marine life made Baby Beach a perfect spot to relax and recharge.

A Tranquil Finale at the Butterfly Farm

As the day drew to a close, we made our way to Eagle Beach to admire the iconic Divi Divi trees, their twisted forms standing proudly against the sky. The beauty of these natural sculptures was awe-inspiring, a fitting prelude to our final stop at the Butterfly Farm. Here, amidst fluttering wings and vibrant colors, we found a peaceful retreat. The variety of butterflies and the presence of enormous moths created a magical atmosphere, a gentle end to our adventurous day.

Opting to explore the Butterfly Farm at our own pace, we savored the tranquility and reflected on the day’s experiences. Andrew’s guidance had made the tour exceptional, blending knowledge with humor and ensuring we felt both informed and relaxed.
