A Reunion with Adventure

The moment I heard Michael Angelo would be our guide for the Jeep Safari again, I knew we were in for a treat. Having experienced his charismatic storytelling and island expertise back in 2019, I was thrilled to embark on another journey with him. This time, we were a group of four, ready to explore the volcanic side of the island in a rugged 4x4 Jeep.

After capturing some unforgettable shots at the pool, we ventured to the caves. The air was thick with the scent of adventure, and though the cave was a bit stinky, it held a mysterious allure. We didn’t delve too deep, but the experience was enough to ignite our curiosity. The fish pedicure that followed was a quirky delight. Watching the tiny fish nibble at our feet was both ticklish and therapeutic, a unique island experience that added a touch of whimsy to our day.

Our journey continued to Baby Beach, where the turquoise waters beckoned us for a refreshing swim. The sun kissed our skin as we floated in the gentle waves, a reminder of why I fell in love with island life. Lunch at Big Mama’s was the perfect way to refuel, with the ocean breeze enhancing the flavors of our meal. Though a bit pricey, the experience of dining right on the beach was worth every penny.

As the day drew to a close, we made our way back, the wind tousling our hair and the sun setting in a blaze of colors.
