We love Abner! - We got off the carnival Liberty & were met by Abner from Charlie’s cave tubing. He was waiting right outside the port store, and was easy to find with the instructions on our ticket. Abner was an absolute GEM! We had been told the excursions not booked through the ship in Belize could be kind of sketchy, so to be careful. Abner set our mind at easy very quickly. He was kind, friendly, informative, and very easy to communicate with. It was just my mom and I, and it was my 40th birthday, and it was an absolutely fabulous day. Having him all to ourselves was such a treat. We got to ask so many questions and learned so much about the Belezian culture and such. I would 110% recommend Charlie’s Cave Tubing to anyone visiting Belieze!

Great adventure in Belize - Unfortunately we did not take pics as we were told we would get wet. Deffinately take your cameras,it was awesome. We were on Royal Caribbean and a little dubious about booking a private tour in Belize. We got off the boat very quickly after we docked and a rep Aznar was waiting for us and told us us it may be 20 minutes as he was waiting for 3 more from Carneval so he escorted us to a great photo op place and we had a smoothie in a little park.20 minutes later he turned up with the others and off we went for about 50 minutes fide in a mini bus into the inside of Belize to these great caves. Our tube's were carried down to the water which was about a 20 minutes walk, which was nice and we went through water three times and then we were at the river.Floated down the river with Abnar narrating to us all the time with interesting facts.End of tour lunch and a drink, nothing fancy but enjoyable and a nice ride home.Great trip.My husband and I are in our 70s.

Great day cave tubing - Beautiful walk through nature. Crossed river a few times on way to the caves. I recommend you pay the few extra dollars to have the tubes carried for you to the cave entry. Our guide Nelson did a great job describing flora and fauna on the walk and was great steering our “raft” through the cave with insightful descriptions of rock formations, etc. Finishing up with a nice cold local beer and a tasty lunch, great day!

A highlight of our cruise - What a great excursion for our family of 6! Everything was as advertised. We were really late tendering off the ship and he waited for us outside with the other members of our group from other ships. Charlie picked us up just outside the cruise terminal and gave us all sorts of interesting information about Belize on the way to the cave. There was a little bit of confusion for other groups when we arrived at the tube rental place but Charlie had our group all worked out and made sure we all had the proper equipment. We had to hike about a mile to the cave with our tubes. One of the guides carried my youngest son’s tube (6 yo) and I carried my 9 yo’s tube and mine. The hike wasn’t too bad and no one in our group had a hard time with it. The cave was amazing! We all loved it! The lunch afterward was at the restaurant right next to the tube rental parking lot and it was fantastic! Rice, beans, chicken, and a soda or water. Charlie then got us back to the cruise terminal with enough time for us to get back on the ship.

Nelson you ROCK!!! - Nelson was absolutely an amazing tour guide. So knowledgeable about Belize and so very personable. Tour was cool. I don’t think I’d do it again because of the long drive from the cruise port. But if you get the chance to do it and with Nelson, take advantage. He is the best.

Charlie is the best says our group of 9! - Charlie and Walter were great guides on the cave tour. Easy to find right outside the cruise terminal and when we arrived at the national park, we didn't have to carry our tubes through the woods like other groups did, and we passed other groups on the hike. Charlie gave us lots off interesting in of on the plants we were passing and history of the Mayas and how they viewed the caves. The float through the caves was amazing and Charlie and Walter kept us out of the crowds of other tour groups. Also other tours had to get out earlier and so we got a longer ride. Lunch afterwards was simple but wonderfully tasty. I can't wait to go back and book another tour with Charlie Chan.

10 OUT OF 5 STARS!! CHOOSE CHARLIE'S - 10 out of 5 STARS!!! We took this tour Feb 22, 2024. It was myself, husband, and three daughters, age 10, 14, and 17. When we arrived in Belize we had about a 15 minute wait then Charlie picked us up right at the port in a minivan, It was just our family on the tour. Charlie was extremely friendly and kept us engaged with all sorts of random facts about Belize and surrounding areas. He was able to answer any questions we had and made the hour long drive to the site very enjoyable. Upon arriving at the main site, we were fitted with helmets with lights and then started our "hike" into the forest. I was worried it would be difficult but it was NOT. It is more of a leisure walk into the woods and we didn't have to carry our tubes either! They were waiting at the waters edge when we reached the opening of the cave. Charlie pulled my family through the water, and continued to share really cool things about the caves and the history of it all. The caves you just have to see to believe, or as they say in Belieze, it's UNBELIEZABLE!!! When you book this tour through the cruise line or other operators you have to carry your own tube along the path which is about a 25 minute walk..but we got to simply enjoy our time. Also, when booking through Charlie, you get to stay on your floats longer, and he takes you all the way around by the main exit so you don't have to hike back out of the woods. After tubing we were treated to a lunch at an on-site restaurant that served us local favorites which was chicken in an amazing sauce, beans, rice, and potato salad. Following lunch Charlie drove us back to port and was willing to make stops along the way for us to take pictures. CHOOSE CHARLIE'S!!!

Beautiful, fun, so cool! - This was awesome! Junior was our guide and he was so fun, and knowledgeable about the city as we drove through it as well as the rainforest and the caves as we floated through. It was beautiful. We saw bats. The caves were fabulous. The tour ended with about a 15-20 minute float in the river outside, and the water was crystal clear and a beautiful deep aqua color. Stunning. Totally worth the 1hr 15 minute drive from port. Just make sure you get off on one of the first tenders to allow plenty of time to make it back to port before the last tender back.

Cave tubing- magical, and why choose another company than Charlie? - You are in good hands with Charlie (and family) cave tubing. We took this trip as a shore excursion in 2019, and repeated it 1/2024 with family. It is wonderful and also less $ than the same trip with the cruiseline. Advantages are you are a smaller group and therefore get more attention. Then van ride is ~45 minutes and you get a nice background history lesson on the way, the equipment is great too. But really- you want the cave tubing info! The walk (easy) to the entry point in the river is given with info on plants and animals and then- wow, what a magical ride. The tubes are pretty comfy, we are safe and maneuvered in the river expertly. Chap was a phenomenal tour guide bringing the magic and wonder to us as we were in the cave for about a mile. Breathtaking. Afterwards a rinse and dry clothes then on to a nice lunch and ride back to town in plenty of time to make the cruise ship shuttle boat.
