Our guide and driver... - Our guide and driver Tango was very reliable and punctual. His driving skills on these winding roads were exceptional. He is also a very kind and respectful person. The description of the tour practically sums up the whole day. He helped with photos as I was traveling with my two children. We had very nice conversation during the drive. My daughter really wanted to see the lavender fields up close and since we took the tour outside of the season it was very difficult to find one, however, Tango managed to find one field for us to see and take photos. He also gave us extra time at the lake to enjoy ourselves and my son to be able to peddle into the canyon. To sum it Tango is Awsome.

Wonderful day out - The description of the activity sums up the day perfectly! What it doesn’t outline is your wonderful driver David! His driving skills around the winding roads was 10/10. It is a day that will be etched fondly in our memory

Many impressions - Our driver David led us with much cheerfulness through a beautiful part of Provence. He was very concerned about the welfare of each individual , gave interesting background information and drove very safely through the very winding mountain world. The journey time was very long, but was well interrupted by stops. Great was the stop at the reservoir, here next time I would prefer swimming, as the pedal boat was brewing into the gorge all the time. Have a nice trip!

Our Review: - It was a great time! Lots of driving but it was one of our favorite parts as the mountains and meadows you see are along the way are incredible. The lake is beautiful, if given the option stay longer than an hour here! Do your research of the stops beforehand this is a driving tour not necessarily a commentated tour. Our driver was David and he was lovely! Super nice and funny and never made us feel rushed.

Driver need caution - The itinerary was good, only concern is the driver who drove very fast on the winding mountain roads, and sometimes he looked phone while driving, safety is first!

Incorrectly marketed and aggressive driver/guide. - If you want to see the lavender fields, please check ahead. They were supposed to be in bloom according to the tour site, but upon pick-up, we were immediately told they had been cut down 2 weeks prior. This was an extreme disappointment when the main picture for this tour is of a lavender field. We tried to make the best of it, but our guide was super aggressive in his driving and was pulled over by the police for squeezing between 2 trucks. After more than 20 minutes on the side of the road while he was being questioned by the police about his license and visa papers, we were allowed to go. He was upset about his fine and continued to drive even faster and more aggressively, reaching speeds of almost 100mph. The van we were in was old and hot and had no vents in the back or middle rows. The temperature reached over 90 degrees that day, so most of us were quite uncomfortable. When I reached out to Viator with my complaints, they completely dismissed me. I have always had good experiences with their tours in the past, but this was a nightmare of a day.

Aggressive dangerous tour driver - I recently booked a tour through Viator to the Verdon Gorge, and while the scenery was breathtaking, the experience was seriously overshadowed by the reckless and unsafe driving of our driver, David. On the way up into the mountains, David drove well over the speed limit on extremely narrow, winding roads with sharp hairpin turns. These roads had no guardrails in many places, with sheer cliffs just feet away, and were filled with cyclists. I asked him to slow down, and he did briefly — but soon returned to aggressive, high-speed driving. When I voiced my concern again, he joked about how fast he was going and told me not to worry, clearly showing he was fully aware of how uncomfortable and anxious I felt — yet continued driving the same way. The return trip was even worse. We hit rush hour in a very congested city full of traffic, pedestrians, and motorcycles weaving through lanes. David continued to drive well above a safe speed, weaving in and out of traffic in a way that felt reckless and deeply unsettling. By the end of the tour, I was shaken and relieved just to have made it back safely. I left a generous tip — not out of satisfaction, but because I felt intimidated and unsure how David would react if I didn’t. I didn’t feel comfortable sharing how I really felt in person. This could have been a fantastic tour, but the driving left me feeling unsafe and anxious throughout. Viator needs to take this seriously — no guide should dismiss passenger concerns, joke about dangerous behavior, or ignore obvious safety risks. Passenger safety and comfort must always come first.

Failed tour. Kept my money - I was very much looking forward to this tour. I booked through a travel agent and received confirmation several days in advance, but the driver came early to pick us up and left without notifying us. They claim to have sent note of a different pick up time through Viator (not to my email) and to not have my phone number. No attempt to contact us was made. We reached out using all the contact methods on their website, all without response. When my travel agent finally reached the tour, they refused to return to pick us up. They also refused to return our money stating that we prevented them from bucking other customers. I could not believe how callous and cynical this company representative was. We were really looking forward to this tour, but all they care about was that our money was already in hand.
