Mountain Train from Nice, France - During our fantastic excursion into the mountainous region above Nice, Samuel, our guide, provided us with a detailed history of the area. We took a restored steam train to our destination, Annot, and then hiked the Gré d'Annot trail to its summit, where we enjoyed panoramic views of the three valleys. As we hiked, Samuel pointed out interesting aspects of the region's geology and flora. Lunch was a feast of Nicois specialties. The next stop was the medieval village of Entrevaux with a hike to its fortress. The group consensus was this was a highlight of the several weeks we spent in Nice. Highly recommend.

Lovely train to the mountains - Beau tiful tour in the mountains. Lovely wagon. Nice stay on Annot. Only minus, for some, wss the steam coming into the wagons in the many tunnels. I found it fun.
