Discover the Spirit of Wales and celebrate all things Welsh with us as we take you on a tour of our distillery and then delight you with our premium distilled Welsh Spirit tastings.
We have chosen Fever-Tree Mixers as our tonics partner, so the tasting includes a selection from them and our limited release Welsh Dry Gin or Blueberry Gin or White pineapple rum. We also offer our new signature range of Steeltown contemporary spirits, including Steeltown Welsh Vodka and Steeltown Welsh Dry Gin. If spiced rum is your thing, then you’re going to love our Dragon’s Breath speciality spiced rum.

Newport Business Deserves Your Interest and Time - Bought for us by friends as a birthday gift we had not heard of the distillery before. Having done many big brand tours previously (Guinness, Remy, Heineken, Jamesons and even local Brecon's Penderyn...) this is a very small scale on comparison but does it's best with some great sampling and passionate chat.
Less of a tour and more of a warehouse single room lecture, you get educated on the process of making a range of spirits whilst encouraging questions all of which were answered well, showing the knowledge and unscripted passion for what this business does.
Several generous samples to taste and with a drink before and after, definitely book a taxi!
Small scale but something for Newport to get behind and be proud of.

Well worth going. - Came by as I had heard there was a distillery in this part of Newport and I am a big fan of vodka, also had family visiting so it was a good afternoon out.
This was a great tour, the tasting room is lovely and Ben who was our guide was excellent. I asked a lot of annoying questions but he was very patient and knowledgeable and I found it very useful to be able to ask questions to a professional bartender.
The tour is very easy to understand and very informative and its a great looking distillery too. We went through how they produce Gin and vodka and their other spirits and there was an opportunity to buy from the distillery afterwards, I bought a bottle of the smoked vodka and an absinthe which are both excellent. Well worth going.

Amazing Experience - It was a great experience learning the science around producing award winning spirits.
Alan, our tour guide, has a wealth of knowledge concerning his trade and explains every step of the process.
We had a lot of fun creating our own flavoured rum and getting to bring it home.
Ben, our mixologist, was excellent in suggesting mixers to suit individual palettes and knows everything there is to know about mixing drinks.
I would highly recommend this experience but don't drive there!

Enjoyable Spirit Tasting with Welsh flair - Very enjoyable experience to see how the various spirits are made followed by a tasting. Ben, our guide, was very entertaining and you could feel his passion for the product. Enjoyable afternoon.

Fantastic Evening - What a great night! I got to taste a load of different spirits & coctails & learned a little about how to make them & what flavour combinations make for a good cocktail. Ben is such a knowledgeable mixologist that i could listen to him talk for hours. Great distillery tour from Alan, learning about the process of producing a great drink. Will definitely book again !

Great afternoon out. Get a lift though, so you can ‘taste’ properly - A fun and amazingly fact filled afternoon. Our guide and host, Ben, had a dazzling knowledge of the distillation processes and shared it with equal parts humour and education.

Great little tour and excellent ambience - Favourite part of the brewery tour had to be the tasting. Not only the great tasting spirits but the characters in our group and our excellent host Ben who was very knowledgeable.

Not a great experience - We arrived Friday 25th August straight away there were 2 girls operating the tour.
Not very friendly and was more interested than talking between themselves.
In the actual distillery the tasting was really rushed and the one girl was reading a script off her phone about the distilling process, not really knowing what she was talking about.
I thought that we would be making our own cocktail but was programmed into making two that was standard and not our choice.
I have been to many cocktail and whisky experience and bar far this was the worse one that I have been to
The two girls showed no passion for their job.
All I can say is the price of the tour covered our couple of cocktails.
I think a review into mixologist is needed and a greater knowledge of the product that they are selling
