Entertaining night walk - just not weather-proof. - We met with Julia the guide who was exactly on time, and we were only two couples on our day. Started off slightly early due to the inclement weather. The walk was at a reasonable pace, although people should bring their own torch light, given that some of the lanes and alleys that we walked through were relatively dark. The stories were very entertaining and told in an interesting way. Julia made a point to emphasize that these were all real stories, and not supernatural or contrived stories. It was a good way to see Newcastle in a different (dim) light, and the stories helped making more real. We were just coming to the end of our the tour when the rains started coming down and it was a quick and abrupt end.

Dark Tales in winding Newcastle Streets - Loved our experience with such a fun tour leader. Learnt so much about Crimes in the city as we walked and listened. Julia was so good doing her drama enactments at each stopping place. Really made our evening.

A nice tour - It was a nice tour of Newcastle and the stories surrounding it. We enjoyed our guide's storytelling. Yet, I think I was expecting a bit more twisted or darker stories but am aware that they had be be about what happened in Newcastle and appeal to a general audience.

Engaging Solo Experience – A Must-Do in Newcastle - I joined the Newcastle Dark Stories True Crime Tour solo and was thoroughly impressed. The guide was knowledgeable, witty, and highly interactive—cleverly weaving humour into chilling tales while making sure everyone felt included. Her storytelling brought Newcastle’s dark history to life in a way that was both entertaining and informative. A great experience for solo travellers and true crime fans alike!

Educational! Thought there may have been a few more dark stories perhaps, but interesting all the same. Worth doing - Thought there may have been more dark stories but interesting enough. One wonders if there are more to be found in archives etc. maybe more from recent years perhaps? Or tribal stories. All the same an entertaining evening and not too strenuous for this with walking issues.

Interesting tour but more content could be added - I have taken a lot of walking tours and while enjoyed this tour and I’m glad I did it, I can’t say it was one of the better ones I’ve done. Julia, our guide, was lovely and knowledgeable, no complaints there, however I just found there was a lot of walking between stops/points of interest. I am not aware of much of Newcastle's history, hence taking the tour, but I felt more content was needed on this tour. We did it at night, in winter, so it was dark, this could easily have been been a day time tour, there was nothing significant about it being at night, it didn’t add to the atmosphere of the stories. I would only suggest that was for traffic safety reasons.

Stories, points of interest and fun facts - Our tour guide Julia was absolutely delightful. The weather was perfect and we had a clear sky night. She was mindful of our needs and safety. She was entertaining and informative. I would have liked more stories and definitely more points of interest and fun facts as I am new to Newcastle. Thank you Julia you are a gem!
