Additional Information

Gin is currently very popular, and we have meticulously designed a gin-tasting journey that blends tastings, beautiful vistas, enjoyment and enlightenment.

You’ll travel in a high-end vehicle on our way to the magnificent Cardrona Valley. Set in this valley, we’ll stop at The Cardrona Distillery, where you’ll be privy to the ins and outs of gin production. You’ll get a chance to see the machinery, understand the distillation methods, and conclude with a complimentary tasting.

Armed with this knowledge, you’ll enjoy a laid-back tasting session at your next destination, The Winery in Arrowtown. Here, you can choose from a selection of gin paddles and relax with a collective grazing board.

The finale will be a unique tasting at the Gin Garden by Broken Heart in Arthurs Point. You’ll certainly be moved by Broken Heart’s tale and enjoy a guided tasting encompassing all the flavours.

At this point, you may be pleasantly inebriated or drowsy, and we’ll transport you back to your lodging or drop you off in the city to continue the festivities with more cocktails.

  • Minimum numbers of 4 apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
  • Minimum drinking age is 18 years. We recommend you bring your passport or NZ drivers license.
  • There is an option to upgrade to the Helicopter Gin Tour, starting with a scenic heli flight and special gin tasting, joining the rest of the group at the Cardrona Distillery.

A great afternoon enjoying gin in spectacular scenery! - This was a Saturday afternoon well spent! GT is a really knowledgeable tour guide, and it was great to stop at some of the amazing lookouts along the way for photos. The gin factory tour at Cardrona was really informative - the best I’ve been on. The tastings and platters were really good. Tour definitely takes 6 hours.

Must do Gin experience! - We had a small group of only 4 on our Gin tour with Lily as our guide. Having a smaller group made the outing more enjoyable and Lily was an absolute delight to get to know and answered any questions we through her way. Highly recommend this Gin tour for any gin lovers out there or even if you’re new to the Gin world!
