Great way to experience the Lower East Side - Adam was great, and so was the food! We met locals, learned a little history, ate great, and got a real flavor for the neighborhood that we couldn't have gotten on our own.

Loved this tour! - Our tour leader, Adam, was personable and knowledgeable--you get information about the history of the neighborhoods, not just the food stops--and the food was great! We sampled everything from pastrami at Katz's deli, the site where the famous "I'll have what she's having" scene was filmed in When Harry met Sally, to pot stickers, to bagels & bialys, to a store that sold pickled pretty much anything you can think of out of barrels, to a doughnut shop where we sampled a dulce de leche doughnut and a Brooklyn blackout doughnut, which was the best chocolate doughnut I've ever tasted bar none.

Family friendly fun! - This was the highlight of my New York trip with my 8 year old son. Adam, our guide, went out of his way to make it a memorable experience, including a picture of my 8 year old with Al the Pickle Guy. He could not have been more knowledgeable and welcoming. The food was delicious and three hours walking outside in February went by in a blink. My son already wants to do another tour with this company the next time we come back!

Re-living the immigrant experience - An Amazing story of how they saved these tenements & their apartments & did the research to tell many families’ stories in their apartments. Educators were excellent.
