Even if you hate Shakespeare, you will LOVE ***THIS*** Shakespeare - I know you feel a tug of dread when you think about watching ANOTHER Shakespeare play. Either you’re already an expert and have seen every interpretation on the face of the planet or you have avoided, suffered through, or chose the Cliff’s Notes in school. Forget that. You will LOVE this Shakespeare. Every nanosecond is full of hilarity, and every sensibility is taken into account. My face hurts from so much laughing. I won’t give anything away, but I will say this is a tremendous experience.

Funny, unique experience - Very funny, surprisingly interactive show! Very cute, intimate space. More improv than I was expecting, in a good way. Free shot on the way in was a plus haha Looking forward to going back soon :)

Hilarious - Drunk Shakespeare was amazing. They didn't tell us the play beforehand, but they did Macbth which I've never read or seen. I couldn't follow the plot, which was ok because the plot was so no the point. The whole audience was basically laughing nonstop, the actors were hilarious, great improvisationalists, and so good at crowd work. The venue (Ruby Theater) was cozy and had very good wait service.

Juvenile and contrived - I adore comedy shows, improv, and Shakespeare so I thought this would be amazing, however neither my friend nor I enjoyed it. It felt contrived and reliant on shticks - including shots, beer pong, and way too many gratuitous d*ck jokes. And the Shakespeare is incidental - simply a delivery mechanism for the above. If that's your thing, you'll love it, otherwise there are lots of other great ways to see talent in NY.
