Highlights
  • St. Paul’s Chapel - This little chapel is incredibly rich in not only September 11 history, but American and NYC history as well.
Originally Church Of England, it predates the United States by about a decade. The original Great Seal of the United States (E PLURIBUS UNUM) hangs on its wall.
A service was said for guest of honor George Washington on the day of his inauguration in 1789. All of the windows are original from 1766. Find out why none broke on September 11, despite virtually every other window breaking for blocks around!
Firemen and engineers who cleaned up Ground Zero slept here until May of 2002. A Revolutionary general, born in Ireland and killed in action in Quebec, is entombed here, in the first American national monument.
I can’t express how awesome a place this is.

Additional Information

I am a survivor of the 9/11 tragedy and a participant in the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. I will share my personal experiences surrounding that day and the subsequent period. My work location was the site commonly referred to as Ground Zero. In my role as a tour guide, I arranged for tour guides to conduct complimentary walking tours for visiting emergency responders.
You will be led to areas that aren’t familiar to most guides: locations where the lingering effects of the events of September 11, 2001, are still visible.
