Meet the NYC licensed tour guide at the NW corner of Broadway and West 79th Street at Noon. (Closest subway station is 79th Street on the #1 line.)

Stroll along the Upper West Side’s main thoroughfare to find out what makes it an attractive neighborhood for Jewish families. Learn about traditional Jewish food and enjoy a total of seven tastings from Zabar’s, the Kosher Marketplace and Murray’s Sturgeon Shop. Visit the only remaining store selling Judaica items and their significance in religious practices.

There will be time to make purchases of food and other items at each of the stores.

Tour ends at about 2:30pm at West 92nd Street and Broadway, close to the 96th Street #1, #2 and #3 subway lines.

Over this 2-hour journey, gain insights into Judaism, its customs, societies, and the concept of KASHRUTH. We commence our tour at Zabar’s, a well-loved NYC store known for its incredible array of delectable ready-to-eat foods. Hereafter, we pay a visit to the Zabar’s Café for a duo of tastings. Following this, we move to the West Side Judaica & Bookstore, where you’ll discover the significance of some showcased items in the practice of Judaism. Our trip also includes visits to Murray’s Sturgeon Shop, a humble establishment renowned for its delightful appetizers. There, you can relish the taste of vegetarian chopped liver and chopped herring. Lastly, we visit the Jewish Marketplace, where you’ll find everything kosher and get to sample two popular side dishes.
