If you enjoy beautiful buildings, amazing history and hearing incredible stories about how a farmland turned into one of New York City’s most famous neighborhoods, and the wealthiest zip code in the United States, this tour is for you!

During our 2 1/2 hours together, we will visit over 15 locations, stopping for pictures and learning about how Tribeca got its name, how the neighborhood played a huge part in the formation of Manhattan, and seeing some of the most hidden, or easily missed, historical sights in the neighborhood!

  • GhostBusters Firestation - One of the most famous stops on our TriBeCa Architecture and History Tour is the GhostBusters Firehouse. You will learn how this firehouse is SO much more than just a movie prop!

Our tour starts on the steps of the Tweed Courthouse (52 Chambers St., between Broadway & Centre St.). Look for your Guide & black Metro Tours umbrella 10 minutes prior to your tour. Nearest subways: 4/5/6/J/Z Brooklyn Bridge City Hall, R/W City Hall or 2/3 Park Place

Great insight for TriBeCa - We took the tour on a sunny but cold and windy day but no rain so could enjoy walking around the streets. The tour is well organized and structured and leaves you some resting time + recharging the batteries.

Super guide! - Learned a lot! Off the beaten track. Architecture, history, art, fun facts : a great tour! The guide planned a few stops along the way to warm up and have toilet breaks which was vers thoughtful. A great experience overall.

Touring in Tribeca - We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! We have been to New York City many times but we saw and learned so much more of this area than we ever have before or would have on our own! I highly recommend taking this tour. You will not regret it!
