What a fun and informative morning!! - Dan did a wonderful job of bringing not only the fire but also that whole time period in New York to life. He covered history in addition to the evolution of the architecture at the time of the fire. I was amazed at how much I learned considering that I’ve lived in NYC for almost 50 years!!

A great tour! - Just a great experience all around. The topic was fascinating. Dan, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the actual event, but more importantly the context and neighborhood that impacted it. He was very friendly and was open to our many questions.

Amazing for School Trips - I took my college history students on Dan's tour and they were blown away. The students loved Dan's energy and engagement. I loved the deep context he gave to the history of the fire, showing its pivotal importance in the history of the garment industry, the labor movement, government regulation of the workplace, and New York City. It was fascinating to my students, who knew little about the fire beforehand, and to me, even though I already knew a lot. Students lingered after to talk with Dan, and brought up the tour many times over the following weeks that semester. I highly recommend this tour to high school and college classes, tourists, and locals who want to learn a little more about one of the most important events in American history.

Great Factory Fire Tour - Took this tour after the chinatown one. The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire is something I’ve heard about before but never fully understood what it was. The tour guide is really great and turned what I thought was going to be a really sad story into an uplifting one. The union square part of the tour was my favorite part, the guide got really energetic and it was really eye opening.

Terrific tour! - I have long known about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire but Dan's tour was so illuminating. Not only did the tragedy result in much stronger fire laws in the city, it also strengthened the role of labor unions in fighting to prevent the conditions that led to the fire. Dan is a knowledgeable and exciting tour guide with an obvious passion for history and for sharing these important moments with others. Well worth it.

Eye-opening and fun - As kind of a NYC history nerd, I really enjoy hearing about the context for the unique events that are part of "who we are" as a city. The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire tour was so eye-opening -- and Dan clearly knows his stuff. Plus you can tell he loves history, too, and made it so interesting for all of us. I thought I knew this event's history inside and out but Dan provided new information and showed us key parts of the city related to all that occurred in the time of the fire.

Extraordinarily engaging - Extraordinarily engaging leader, managed to tell the entire story of the Triangle Fire and what led up to it -- and the long term consequences -- by looking at the buildings in the Washington Square/Union Square area. I'll bring all my out of town guests on at least one tour from this group. Fantastic!

Horrible customer service! - Terrible! The tour company did not bother to tell us that the tour was canceled! We walked 2.5 miles to the tour start location. We waited for 20 minutes. We tried contacting the tour operator and there never was a response. Finally, we called Viator. They were told the tour was canceled. This was the first tour we booked when we arrived in the city. It was a huge disappointment and a greater waste of our time!
