Excellent and entertaining tour - One of the best guided tours ever. Patrick had many fascinating stories about individual pieces, the history of the Met, and a practical and realistic back stories of individual pieces and how they were acquired.

Secrets of the Met Museum Tour - led by an insider with a unique perspective - I went on this tour: Secrets of the Met Museum Tour It was wonderful - a very unusual perspective about this massive museum. The tour guide was a guard there for 10 years, and he brought a view and analysis that was unique. Rather than being primarily about the art on display, it was about acquiring, exhibiting, and stories about the history of the museum and some of the pieces in it. It was very interesting - the time flew by. Our guide was Patrick Bringley, who has written a book about his experiences as a guard. His intimate story and knowledge were enriching.
