Run don’t walk to book this tour - This is a BRILLIANT tour! Very educational. Pure finder does many great tours and the owner had written a few books too on the subject she does the tours on. Super educational and informative and just a great buzz! I went solo and made good friends. Lots of couples and groups too. All round good way to spend 90-120 mins in NYC!!

Great date activity! - Krombie was such a wondeful storyteller and had myriad facts and dates and names perfectly memorized, but it never felt like we were being given a history lesson, rather we were privy to a juicy novel. My husband and I went on the Tour as a date and I would highly recommend it to everyone!!

Informative tour with a hilarious & knowledgable tour guide! - My husband and I were in town for a child psych conference so I thought this would be a fun way to end the week! K was a fantastic tour guide full of humor and information. Highly recommend if you like to learn a bit of history and see how it’s relevant to us today.

So fun and interesting! - We went on the Psychiatric History of New York tour today and it was amazing! I've lived in NY for 23 years and I had no idea of this part of its history. We'll be taking Krombie's other tours soon. She is knowledgeable, entertaining, a pleasure to spend time with her. Don't miss her tours!

A great success. Thanks Krombie. - Very nice walk through the upper east side. Krombie is an experienced guide who knows her subject well. A very original approach to discover the neighborhood with a new eye. The small group format is very friendly and allows for easy discussion. The tour is in English only and requires a good command of the language, I will try the other tours offered by purefinder.

All You Could Want from a Walking Tour! - This is another of K. Krombie's interesting and informative tours. With each of the tours (this is my 3rd ), I am so impressed with her broad knowledge of the subject she is covering. I knew only part of the history of Psychiatry in NY, but upon completing the tour, I realized how much more of the story could be found on the upper east side of Manhattan. Khira presents the information with so much enthusiasm that you can't help being drawn into the historical stories she includes. I promise, you'll love it.

Best Commentary on a Walking Tour EVER - I have been taking walking tours in New York City for 20 years and I have never been on a more fascinating, comprehensive, stimulating and educational one than this! Khira offers s depth and breadth of knowledge about New York City and the history of psychiatry that will make your jaw drop. The walk is lovely (a wonderful thing to do with visitors from out of town or people who've lived here their whole lives), and the pace is just right, but the real treasure is the knowledge you'll walk away with. You'll be amused at how many times someone in the group says: "Wow!" "No Way!" "That is amazing!" and how many times you say it yourself. Go - this is special.

Best historic walking tour in NYC - The Purefinder tour led by Khira was a complete turn-on! Khira's knowledge about the psychiatric history of NYC (and the history of New York in general) is rich and relevant. Her lively personality, witty humor, and ability to infuse a fascinating spin on topics ranging from the Sackler family to the Butcher of Tompkins Park was unforgettable. I learned a lot about the history of immigration and how the management of mental illness in an urban society has evolved over the years. Will definitely take other Purefinder tours and invite my friends.
