NYC carriage ride - Our driver Josh was very knowledgeable, learned a lot about Central Park I did not know. Enjoyed the carriage ride especially at night.

We had the best afternoon in Central Park, thanks to Alexus and Sam! - Such a great experience and the best way to see the park and learn some interesting history about the park and buildings that border most of it. We took the 65 minute ride and loved it. Alexus was kind and a great host. She is a native New-Yorker, has worked with horses for a long time, and obviously loves and cares for the animals she works with.

A fun carriage ride through Central Park. - Our guide was so sweet. He made sure we had good pictures and knew a lot about the area's history and filming locations. It was my wife and i's first carriage ride and it was amazing experience. Highly recommended for the memories!

Great company, wonderful experience - Easy online booking, easy to find. They texted morning off to change/confirm the time slightly that actually worked better for us. Driver and horse were excellent, definitely no mistreatment there. Great way to see the park. A wonderful experience I will always remember.

Bucket list experience checked ! - A ride through the park on a beautiful summer night was the perfect way to start our NYC vacation. Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable. Sadly, I have forgotten his name. It was worth paying extra for the 55 minute ride, but if you are short on time or money the 30min would be just fine.

Josh and Lady Liberty are the tops! - The Audacity of Man! A review of our driver Josh and his faithful steed, Lady Liberty. The day was Friday, June 9th and the skies over Manhattan were finally starting to clear of the smoke from the devious Canadians and their ‘campfires’. We were concerned our ride through Central Park may be cancelled but alas, through the din appeared Josh and the stunningly beautiful mare Lady Liberty. Josh smiled a grin so wide we thought his face may split and beckoned us to him. Tipping his hat in a grand gesture, he enthusiastically welcomed us aboard the stately carriage and we were off on our adventure! Shocked at first at his athletic somersault over Lady Liberty’s back and into the helm, we wondered if this lithe, fit young man in the top hat was a Cirque de Soleil performer on a summer sabbatical! It was clear from the outset this was to be no normal carriage ride, for the man at the reins stunned us with his hilarity and endless witty banter. If John Mulaney and Ferris Bueller had a child it would resemble this dapper gent, but could only wish it were as awesome and charismatic as Josh. It’s not too much to say that he brought joy to the masses during the 55 minutes of carriage time; dancing, singing, and gesticulating wildly while Lady Liberty neighed along. We laughed, we cried, we became better people. How to rate this nearly religious experience? Five stars are not enough!! 10 stars, 8 planets and 1 constellation would not do it justice!! If we had the choice of taking another carriage ride with Josh or World Peace we would ride with Josh EVERY SINGLE TIME!!

Perfection! - Omgosh! Henry was AMAZING!!! Mary our horse was so sweet. Henry gave us so much information and we loved every moment of the ride. Highly recommend this company and highly encourage doing a carriage ride if you are in the fence about it!! A perfect way to see Central Park!

Don’t give your money to this company! Choose one of the many other NYC horse carriage tours who don’t insult customers - I hardly ever leave reviews, let alone negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn anyone not to do business with this company, and specifically to steer clear of the owner, Frank Riccobono. I booked and paid for a carriage ride with my family over two months in advance. Shortly after booking, I noticed that the company had overcharged me $160, so I emailed their customer service email to request the refund. They never responded, despite my initial email and a second follow-up. The company’s total failure to respond to my outreach should have been a red flag, but I figured we could just sort this out in person the day of our carriage ride. Two days before our booking, I emailed the company again to confirm the booking time. I again never heard back. An hour before our scheduled carriage ride, the owner of the company, Frank, texted me to confirm the booking time, but the time was incorrect. When I told him this, he became enraged, texting me nonsensical insults directed at me and my husband. He then called me repeatedly, and when my husband answered the phone, he similarly attacked him, me, and our children (who are all under the age of four). His hateful reaction to being told that his booking time was wrong was truly inexplicable—He flew off the handle with rage and told us he was cancelling our booking. And even after this, he continued texting me and my husband nasty insults until I finally blocked his phone number. Fortunately, there are plenty of other great companies that offer carriage rides in NYC, so we promptly booked with Central Park Carriage Rides and had a great experience. In retrospect, I’m so glad we didn’t give our money to someone who would treat customers so poorly, and I would encourage anyone considering this company to steer clear and book with one of the many other carriage ride companies in NYC.
