Fantastic Experience!!! - Jonathan was an outstanding tour guide! He gave us so many insights not just about the collections, but about the origins of the museum and a number of its benefactors. We learned so much. I highly recommend this tour!!

Fantastic overview of all The Met has to offer - Our guide Katherine was very informative and gave my son (17) and I insights into the art as well as the evolution of the museum itself. You couldn’t see all the Met has to offer in 3 days, let alone 3 hrs, but Katherine gave us a great overview.

A stellar introduction to the Met Museum - Viewing and appreciating in full the Met Museum's collection is the work of a lifetime. But, we enjoyed and benefitted immensely from the introduction provided by the Highlights tour. Our guide, Katherine's, extensive knowledge of the art we were seeing and the museum's history provided helpful perspective on the scope of the collection's. With that, she skillfully managed available time to allow focused attention on elements of the collection that were of particular interest to us. Great Met tour - Bob our guide was very knowledgeable on not only The Met Museum but the general history of New York. His knowledge was very impressive. He took time to answer all of our questions and was pleasant to talk to. We didn't feel rushed at all .

Amazing Museum, Mediocre Experience - Amazing museum, mediocre experience. We've recently been to the Louvre and the British Museum, the former with a guided tour. We've done many guided tours in the past. The hope is to get a guide that is very passionate about the museum, which we certainly got. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to know much or care to tell as much about the actual pieces in the museum. We got a lot of personal anecdotes and a few stories about how the Museum obtained certain pieces. Nothing specifically about the pieces themselves. The couple that was with us asked a few questions about certain pieces, for which he had no answer (despite reportedly working for the museum for the past 40+ years). For instance, he didn't point out or tell a story about a single painting. We paid for a 2-hour tour but he was ready to be done with us at 1 hour in and kept asking if we wanted to see anything else. We said we wanted to see the Renaissance area, he brought us up there and left us unceremoniously at an hour and 30 minutes in. The sad part is, we were ready for him to go. Extremely nice guy, amazing museum, not a great guide.
