- Chelsea - On this 2-hour tour, you’ll visit approximately seven of the most important contemporary art gallery shows of the moment, seeing and discussing artwork in variety of media. Exhibitions change every five to six weeks, so there is always something new to see. Your itinerary will include a range of mega-galleries and smaller space showing artwork by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.

Additional Information
A local art critic, writer, and college instructor are your certified tour guide. She has designed and conducted tours in New York’s galleries and museums for more than fifteen years and will guide you to the most current prominent exhibitions. Within our intimate group, there is the open invitation for you to raise questions and share your thoughts while your guide offers context on the top showcases in New York City!
- Tours take place rain or shine and meet in a different gallery for each tour. A message with the meeting location will be sent prior to the tour.
- Your tour guide is licensed by New York City’s Department of Consumer Affairs as a tour guide and is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA USA).
- Some galleries have stairs. Please let us know in advance if you need to avoid stairs so we can make sure the itinerary is accessible.
- Travelers should be able to stand and walk for two hours. Seating is usually not available.

Art in Tribeca - We enjoyed a wonderful two hours touring seven galleries in Tribeca. Merrily was a perfect guide providing information, interesting stories and pointing out architectural details along the way. I would definitely do this tour again.

A fascinating and memorable experience for our whole team - We had an incredible experience exploring Chelsea's contemporary art galleries with Merrily as our guide. As a mix of out-of-towners and NYC locals from our office, we were all equally enthralled. Merrily expertly navigated us through eight diverse exhibitions. Her commentary was insightful and engaging. The pace of the tour was perfect for our group and the variety of media and styles we saw was remarkable.

Galleries in Chelsea. - It was an excellent tour. Merrily Kerr was very knowledgeable she chose very interesting galleries. This was a diverse representation of contemporary art. Strongly recommend.

Great way to immerse yourself in the local art scene - The tour was an immersive and educational experience, more than we expected. Merrily is very knowledgeable and covered so many related topics (biographies, local history, art finances and more) which gave us the opportunity to really connect to what we saw. The choice of artists and galleries gave an intelligent picture of whats going on. Thanks Merrily!

Great experience! - We had a great time with Merrily touring some galleries in Chelsea. She communicated well prior to the tour and was well prepared, not just sharing with us about the works we saw but also supplemental information on her tablet. It's possible we might have found the same galleries on our own (although not without a lot of research I suspect), but without context that Merrily provided we would not have enjoyed them nearly as well.
