Wonderful Birthday Gift - This was a birthday present from my nieces. It was a wonderful experience sharing all that this spa has to offer with them. Unfortunately the 5 hours that we were there did not afford us the opportunity to explore every room. I did have a short massage and I would not do that again, when I return. The massage was great but took away from other things. Rooms were well maintained and nicely decorated. Staff were very accommodating and one person in particular made it a point to show us around and steer us in a good direction (God Delivers?). You are supplied with 2 towels, slippers and a bathrobe without pockets. However, they give you a bag to put your things in and I wasn't going to use their slippers anyway because spa slippers are usually uncomfortable. There are food options but if crowded ordering will "eat" into some of your spa time. Just relax, take in the magnificent views, experience this spa at the pace. If you are looking for quiet, individual pampering, this is not the spa for you. If you are willing to explore many sensory options, you won't be disappointed.

NYC yet felt like another world - Made it here with friends for a bachelorette. We took the ferry from South street. Super quick and easy. This place is so nice. The pools are beautiful with amazing views of lower manhattan. I think we would have been happy just staying at the pools all day but there was so much more to explore. We explored the saunas, steam rooms and water fountain rooms. We never made it to the relaxation rooms, guess we have to go back. We ordered sandwiches and drinks from the bar and they were super tastey. We stayed for 5 hours and the time went by so quickly. I would definitely go back and maybe explore the island too. Great place!

Wonderful Experience! - I cannot say enough great things about this place. Went for the first time in May with friends and we were all blown away by the experience. We happened to get a beautiful day and fully enjoyed all the facility had to offer. Wasn't sure what to expect, but the spa was immaculate, staff was friendly, and while i couldn't imagine being there all day that's exactly what we did. I definitely plan to go back soon. This is an absolutely gem in NYC and feels like a beautiful oasis. I left feeling more relaxed than i have in ages and can't wait to go back. Thank you, QC!

Perfect Staycation Day - An incredible experience! Everything was beautiful and clean. From the salt room, saunas, and hydrojets to so many other unique relaxation rooms, every detail was stunning. The outdoor pool overlooking NYC was especially relaxing and the perfect way to unwind.

Great location! - Great spa. The outside pool with a view of lower Manhattan is unique! Truly recommended in both winter and summer! Plan to be there at sunset, also to enjoy a good drink after a hard day in the sauna :)

Beautiful day,ok spa - We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day when we crossed over to Governors Island for our spa day. Wish we had more time to roam the island but our appointment at the spa was at 11:00 a.m.. it was a lovely place beautifully decorated and we experienced very helpful staff in the lobby. But it was very difficult to find anybody to interact with while you were walking through the various saunas steam showers and meditation rooms. We purchased an extra service of a couples massage which at 30 min was very short but intense leaving us wanting more. We didn't eat or drink here and I heard those Services were very expensive. However I am not a fan of the robes which have only one belt holder in the back and no pockets. And by the way the spa shoes that are included in your package are awful. I could only keep them on for 5 minutes. My husband and myself went back in my lockers and put our own flip-flops on.

Lack of hospitality - The spa itself was enjoyable but did get crowded as the day went on. There were many rooms and experiences - too many for me to enjoy in only a hour. The masseuse I had was wonderful and the massage very relaxing. But the experience was truly dampened by the rigidity of time constraint and lack of flexibility and hospitality by the staff. I purchased three hours at the spa and a long 75 minute massage within that time. Due to availability when I booked, my massage ended exactly when my 3 hours ended. So I only had about an hour before my treatment to enjoy the spa which wasn't enough time to explore both buildings. They do give you an extra 30 minutes before your locker is not accessible so l was grateful for some extra time to shower and get dressed after my massage but I would have liked some extra time to enjoy the blissfulness from the massage, so before I returned to the locker room I went to the front desk to try to extend my time so l had some more time to relax after my treatment. It’s $25 ann hour. They couldn't use my card on file and the person who checked me in didn't hook up my card to my wristband. They needed my actual credit card to extend the time. I was naked under my robe as I just came from a massage and the robes have no pockets and they didn’t offer any other problem solving solutions, so l just decided to go back and get dressed before I went to eat at the restaurant. Then the restaurant wouldn't let me eat there. Firstly - you're not allowed to wear your clothes. Bathing suit and bathrobe only. The last thing I wanted to do is put on a cold wet bathing suit and robe to dine in. Also, when your time is up, you're not allowed to be there so they wouldn't let me in to eat. So after 5 hours of no food (they offer apples but I didn't want to eat before my treatment and I didn't have one after because I was planning on having dinner) I was starving and knew I wasn't going to eat for at least another hour because I had to wait for the ferry to get back to Manhattan and go find a place to eat. There were no other options for food on the island! I was extremely disappointed with how the staff treated me. I've been to many day spas all over the world and have never experienced such rigidity and lack of hospitality.
It put a huge damper on my experience especially after paying nearly $500 to be there for 3 hours.

disappointment ( - I had a reservation at QC NY on my birthday — a day that was supposed to be special and memorable. I traveled nearly two hours to get there, only to find out that the ferry I needed was not operating due to service issues. I reached out immediately to explain the situation and kindly requested a reschedule, not a refund. I followed up again with a second message. Both were either ignored or met with a cold copy-paste response.
Not only was I deeply disappointed by the complete lack of empathy, but I was also shocked that a wellness center which markets itself as a place of care and hospitality would be so inflexible in the face of a completely uncontrollable and documented transportation issue. There was no consideration for the fact that I spent hours commuting, it was my birthday.
This isn’t about money — it’s about basic human decency and customer care. QC NY failed on both fronts.

A Deeply Unprofessional and Disheartening Experience – Verbally Attacked and Publicly Humiliated by Staff - A Deeply Unprofessional and Disheartening Experience – Verbally Attacked and Publicly Humiliated by Staff
I have been a loyal patron of this spa since it opened and have previously enjoyed it immensely. It had always felt like a peaceful escape—until now. This visit, however, was nothing short of appalling.
Three of us, all with birthdays within a week of each other, chose to celebrate with what we hoped would be a relaxing, full-day retreat. Instead, we were verbally attacked, publicly humiliated, and left stunned by the aggressive behavior of front-of-house staff, specifically a woman named Lina.
We paid for full-day access (9:30 AM to 9:30 PM), expecting the same standard of hospitality we've experienced before. In previous visits, food was available on-site, so we were shocked to find that not only was no food offered, but that leaving to get lunch—without any warning or signage—meant being denied re-entry.
When we returned, Lina refused to let us back in. We calmly explained that our personal belongings were still inside and that we needed to shower before our evening commitments. She was cold, dismissive, and needlessly rigid. She finally allowed us to retrieve our items but explicitly denied us access to any amenities—including the showers. Despite our polite pleas, explaining we had not rinsed off before leaving and had no way to clean up before the evening, we were told flatly: “No.”
Out of necessity, two of us quickly rinsed off. Lina then stormed into the women’s locker room and loudly berated us in front of other guests. Her behavior was aggressive, degrading, and completely out of line—not only unprofessional, but borderline hostile. It was humiliating and created an atmosphere of stress and shame in a place that should foster care and relaxation.
We attempted to resolve this calmly and privately. A written complaint was submitted in hopes of receiving a reasonable explanation or, at the very least, an acknowledgment of the mistreatment we endured. We never received a response. The silence from management is loud—and it speaks volumes about how little this business values its customers.
This incident reflects a systemic failure of leadership and professionalism, from staff to corporate. What should have been a joyful, restorative day turned into a deeply distressing and embarrassing ordeal. I can no longer recommend this spa to anyone and will not be returning.
One star—for the facility. Zero for the disgraceful conduct and total lack of accountability.
