- Empire Vacations Day Tours - New York - Departing from New York and heading south, pass through the states of New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland before arriving at Washington DC’s Capitol Hill. Here, your tour will start with a stop at Arlington Cemetery to visit JFK’s gravesite.
Next, head further into Washington to see the Capitol, Senate, and White House, the heart of the US government. Your tour then continues to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum before visiting the Washington, Lincoln, Vietnam, and Korean Memorials for exploration and pictures.
Late in the afternoon, you’ll embark on a panoramic city tour before departing Washington for an early-evening arrival back in New York City.
Please Note: This tour is scheduled to stop in front of the White House, Capitol, and Senate for commentary and photo ops. However, please note that sometimes this is not possible due to security issues. In the event of this occurring, your tour will be adjusted accordingly.

- Time at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum is approximately 1.5-hours
- For tours with fewer guests, vans may be substituted - wifi and restrooms on full size buses only.
- Tours can be bilingual/multilingual as they are offered in many different languages
- Children under the age of 2 are free, please advise at time of booking if infant is traveling
- Due to security, there is no entry to the White House
- Due to security a passport or U.S. ID will be required to enter Arlington Cemetery
- Air and space Museum is currently under renovations - entrance is not guaranteed

Great one day trip to DC! - We wanted a day out of NYC on this trip and have always fancied Washington DC so booked it. It didn’t disappoint, it’s an early start but worth it. Iris, our travel guide was great, filling us in with lots of information on the coach and also whilst visiting the scheduled stops. Really glad we did it - highly recommended!

Great itinerary and professional service! - The tour was very well organised. We travelled in a comfortable, air conditioned coach. There were stops for refreshments and comfort breaks. The itinerary was fantastic - we saw all the important buildings and monuments in 5 hours! The guides spoke several languages and were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

Happy with the tour - The tour guide (male) was entertaining and informative. The restroom breaks during the trip could have been shortened a little. Overall I am happy with the tour and would recommend it.

Worth the experience - Great day with key sites of American history visited. Loved the whole area from Lincoln memorial to Capital hill. Was able to take food and drinks on bus so prepare if you want to save money. Trip is a long day 4hrs there and then back in bus

Very good taster trip of DC - Tour guide Carlo was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, and had a great personality
Overall the trip was very good. A great little taster of DC for those on a time limit.
The downsides would be that I think much more emphasis and pressure needs to be put on passengers to get back to the bus on time, especially repeat offenders, as it adds hours to the trip at the end of the day and you end up getting back to New York very very late.
Also, the air and space museum is advertised, but there is not enough time for any proper museum tours, and the air and space museum was sold out with no entry times left. I think this should be made clear in the days leading up to the trip so that you can book a time days before. I dont think this museum should be advertised at all as it is very impractical.
