Great experience - Excellent observation deck on three levels above NYC. Great views of central park and the Empire State Building. You can see the Statue of Liberty in the distance. Highly recommend this on a sunny day as the views will be even better

Beautiful view of NYC in Midtown Manhattan - First time at the Top of the Rock.
Visit at dusk with great views of the Empire State Building to the south and Central Park to the north!

Inspirational - It was a good choice to see the city and the Empire State Building. It looks amazing at night. There are 3 levels to visit and all are good for perfect photos.

Morning slots with the savings - The advice to go when they open was top-notch. No waiting in lines and clear vantage points on all levels. I would have liked to see more educational material (building of, usage, place in history, etc.).

A great panorama - I guess everything has been said about the Top of the Rock experience. We were lucky in a week of mixed weather that we'd booked VIP entry on a day when the weather was sunny and clear so we could really enjoy the views over Central Park, Empire State Building etc. As with many NYC landmarks the Top of the Rock is one of the "must visit" category. Just hope for a clear and warm day.

Good but preferred Empire State. - We went there at 8.30pm and it was a bit rainy. There seemed to be less organisation here than at the ESB. When we got to the top it was fairly busy and everyone was sitting in the windows and not budging. Made it difficult to see out. Very rude of people to just sit and wait for darker sky to get their Instagram pics. The upper deck was better and less crowded but outside so we got a bit wet out there. Coming down was chaotic. So many people wanting to descend at same time. Think only one lift working. Preferred empire state to this. Viator was east to book and use.

Overpriced skyscraper experience - didnt feel it was worth the cost. - Mixed thoughts, by the time we got to do the Rockefeller Center we had already done One World Trade Center, Empire State Building, and Summit One Vanderbilt - so we had already seen the views, done the looking down on glass platforms - so this just wasnt wow. The view was just another version of all the other views we had already seen.
We opted for the express pass, as we wanted to be able to re-arrange our visit in case of bad weather. This was a good move in a way, as the weather was poor on the day we originally booked, and by pushing it back a day, we had amazing weather. However, the express pass, with the flexibility to rebook, was not cheap, and I did not feel the experience was worth the price. The main reason we did it is my wife was really keen to do the beam experience and get the photo - which was kind of cool - but I could easily have lived without it.
Nice experience, but overpriced.

Not once more - We booked The Rise on site and my husband and I had to go to the steel girder with other strangers !! and the picture could not be found at first. In addition, I can't even open it via QR code. But we paid for something like that. It wasn't worth it. In addition, it was far too crowded. I won't recommend it because the picture was very important to us.

Disappointing experience - I went to Top of the Rock a few years ago and loved it then, so when I was planning a family trip this time, another visit was in order.
However, we were extremely disappointed on several fronts. We got our tickets with a specific arrival time, which was fine. But we could not understand why the specific times were needed, because when we got up to the observation floors, they were all packed with people. There was a sign that said 499 people was the max, but there were most definitely more people than that up there. It was difficult to move and to get decent pictures of the skyline. Then when we decided to leave, it was a very long line to exit AND there was only one working elevator. Lastly, the restrooms were a mess, as seen in the pictures. I felt really bad that I raved over this and recommended it over the Empire State Building to my family, as ESB was their preference, and I talked them out of it. I don't know that I'll ever recommend Top of the Rock to anyone again.
