Scenic Views of Lady Liberty - My Statue of Liberty cruise was a memorable 1-hour journey from Pier 40, offering stunning views of Lady Liberty and the Manhattan skyline without stops at Liberty or Ellis Islands. The ferry was clean, spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating perfect for photos, and the guide Allen provided fascinating historical context that enriched the experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, though crowds can be heavy in peak season, so arriving early is wise. Snacks on board were limited, so I’d suggest bringing your own. For ~$29, this cruise is a fantastic, affordable way to see an iconic landmark up close—highly recommend for a quick, scenic NYC adventure! 5/5.

Fair value - The boat ride gave us amazing views of the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. The length of the tour was in the right range. Good for taking lots of pictures too.

Do not book with this company - The boat is overcrowded and staff were yelling at passengers during the boarding process. If you purchase the regular ticket, you will be standing in wall-to-wall people, or sitting inside on the lower deck. There limited seats offered for the standard ticket in the front of the boat. If you upgrade to the premium, you can sit on the upper deck, and they rope this off so only the premium passengers can be in this area. We chose to upgrade for an additional $20 per person, and we ended up having a wonderful time. But, I would never recommend this company based on our experience.

Scam in blue vest Statue Of Liberty - First the employees at the Staten Island Ferry location were complete scamming tourists. They wear blue vest and say the are associated with Liberty cruise. They tell you how long the wait is and you will never see the statue. They then sell you a cruise around the Liberty. Before you get on the boat you take a overcrowded bus, no ac, for 40 min to get to the boat. Once at the pier, which is almost uptown, you get on a boat with 216 other people with no room to sit and you cant see anything as everyone is cramped. Complete waist of time, money, and experience. I highly recommend using anyone other than this company

Cruise Control? More Like Cruise Chaos - AVOID! - We received Liberty Cruise tickets as part of the destination fee at Moxy Times Square and decided to use the two complimentary passes and purchase two more for our kids to round off our NYC trip. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating and poorly managed. The 2pm cruise was cancelled without notice, and the waiting area was chaotic — poorly signposted, with no shade cover and no staff managing the queue. We were left standing in a long, disorganised line under the sun with no clear information or support. With a 5pm flight from JFK, the 3:30pm cruise felt too risky — both in terms of timing and safety due to potential overcrowding. Customer service offered a credit to return, but we’re now back in the UK with no plans to revisit soon. We ended up losing the cost of two kids’ tickets, MTA fares to the pier, a return Uber ride, and four hours on our final day — time we had hoped to spend enjoying the city. Based on our experience and other reviews, I’d strongly recommend reconsidering this cruise operator. It felt more like a liability than a perk.

F****ng nightmare - We almost got a heatstroke. The places is not prepared to handle that much visitors. It seems like they onyl profit driven and over book as much as possible. I understand that it is summer, but couple of sun umbrellas will give people much needed shade. Instead they put one breezer outside, which works only if you were standing directly in front of it. In general, waste of time and money. The whole trip lasted more than 4h from which you spend 3h queueing and sweating in a tight crowd. Do not go there even in colder months. Take a ferry to staten island and see the statue from it.

Awful. Unsafe & misleading - It was simply awful. Overcharged from the get go. Put on a bus & was told the cruise departed at 3.15. Not true - actually departure time was 4pm. Boat was late & then by the time the loaded simply too many people on board it was 5pm before we left. Advertised at an hour but it only lasted 45mins & the doing the talking was terrible as well. Getting off was a a disaster & there were a lot of grumbling passengers. Wish we’d read the reviews first. Need to be more honest, go on time, take less people & improve the attitude of staff.

The worst experience ever - The worst experience I’ve ever had. I do not recommend, terrible crew, lack of organization, for sure not worth spending 55$ on this trip.

SCAM - avoid! - We were at Battery park planning to get the staten island ferry, when a tour guide told us that the ferry would involve a lot of queues and poor views. However after we bought the cruise tickets they then walked us to a bus which took 20 mins to get to pier 40 (no AC) and then a 30min wait for the boat! We were told it would cost $39 each but credit card was charged $59 each. Complete scam - get the ferry instead!!

Utter SCAM - SCAM SCAM SCAM Get the FREE ferry instead, don't be scammed by these people. Were told the tickets were £39 dollars each, ended up being charged £240 dollars for four tickets due to "taxes". Sales person told us the free Statten Island Ferry was ONLY for commuters, not tourists. Told us it was a two hour trip anyway, and that it went in the opposite direction to the Statue. This was all lies. The free ferry goes as close to the Statue as this £240 ferry. The sales guy got pretty shirty with us when we questioned the price, and then got us an "escort" who walked us for 15 minutes to a BUS stop where we had to then catch a bus to the boat dock at pier 40. Hung around looking for a tip! Boat was run down. Did NOT stop at the Statue to allow pictures as we were told, and did NOT go under the Brooklyn Bridge, as we were old it would. COMPLETE and utter scam. Sales guy pretended he was doing us a favour by "adding on" a free bus tour ticket, but this is actually part of the ticket price and by the time the boat trip finished the buses were stopped for the day anyway! Absolute scam, avoid this!!!
