- New York Public Library - The flagship building in the New York Public Library system, built in 1911 is a beaux arts marvel and the site of Carrie and Big’s first (and aborted) wedding on Sex and The City.
- Grand Central Terminal - This Gilded Age station is famous world over for its grandeur and 67 tracks that make it the largest station in the world. This legacy of New York’s legendary Vanderbilt family was gorgeously restored in 1990s.
- John V. Lindsay East River Park - Charming East River Park was the birthplace of Shakespeare in the Park, long since moved to Central Park. We’ll enjoy East River views of Queens and Brooklyn as we make our way to the bridge crossing.
- Brooklyn Bridge - Glide over the promenade of this 137 year old icon of NYC. Enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Wall Street skyline and New York harbor. We’ll pause to take lots of pics!
- Dumbo - This post-industrial area was once a hotbed of factories and warehouses. Now it’s trendy shows, chic restaurants, and gorgeous park land. We’ll break for a 30 minute lunch here (lunch cost not included).
- City Hall Park - On July 9, 1776, New York’s City Hall Park was the sight that General George Washington read the Colonies’ Declaration of Indepence. Breath in the history of City Hall, Tweed Courthouse, the Municipal Building and the Cathedral of Commerce known as the famous Woolworth Building.
- Wall Street - See Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange and snap your selfie with Arturo Di Modica’s iconic “Charging Bull” statute.
- Battery Park - NYC’s oldest park sits on the southern most tip of Manhattan island and provides your best view of the Statute of Liberty and houses Castle Clinton National Monument, built in 1808.
- One World Trade Center - We’ll see the resculpted “Ground Zero,” site, now home to a 400 tree oak orchard, two memorial pools, the 9/11 Memorial Museum, WTC 1 tower, and master architect Santiago Calatrava’s Oculus transportation and retail hub.
- Hudson River Park - Hudson River Park stretches 4.5 miles (7.2 km) and comprises 550 acres (220 ha), making it the second-largest park in Manhattan. Enjoy Hudson River views of New Jersey and endless lawns, gardens and recreation spaces as we make our way north.
- The Vessel - We’ll see the Vessel at the newly built Hudson Yards. This collection of soaring new glass towers have added more than 10 million square feet of office, housing and retail to New York City in just the last 2 years.

This is not an excursion for those unexperienced with cycling. It’s designed for confident, metropolitan cyclists. We will travel approximately 25 miles (40 km) throughout a 6-hour period, maintaining a brisk yet…
From the spacious Central Park to the historic Brooklyn Bridge and the solemn Ground Zero, we will embark on a journey covering all these! This is not an excursion for those unexperienced with cycling. It’s designed for confident, metropolitan cyclists. We will travel approximately 25 miles (40 km) throughout a 6-hour period, maintaining a brisk yet manageable pace. While our plan is to stick to designated biking lanes, it isn’t always possible to do so throughout the entirety of the journey. This expedition is designed for those who have an adventurous heart. Be ready to experience some of New York City’s notable landmarks just as they were meant to be appreciated: from street-level. We’ll incorporate plenty of pauses for you to dismount, explore, and capture perfect shots to spruce up your Instagram page!
Expect safety and guidance – you won’t lose precious time getting disoriented. I’ll also keep the mood lively and provide historical information, background, and provide an authentic New Yorker’s perspective. By the end of the day, you’ll surely feel a good workout but will also be more than ready to indulge in a delightful meal from one of New York City’s prime dining establishments – you’ve worked for it, after all!
