Great time! - Purchased this tour through Groupon and was surprisingly pleased! Vince was so knowledgeable about the history and took us all through Greenwich Village. The desserts were good but honestly his tour was the best part.
He walks fast and talks fast but he’s a local so keep up!
Definitely recommend and hopefully you get Vince!

Awesome trip for a group of four! - It was an awesome tour! My two daughters enjoyed it as well. We visited NYC for the first time and were amazed at the wonderful time we had. The beautiful places we visited were a highlight of our trip.

Great tour…our guide was fantastic! - Our tour guide was amazing! Great tour for not only being able to try out different sweets around nyc, but also for seeing a lot of cool historical/pop culture sites.

Vince was very... - Vince was very knowledgeable. We were the only 3 on the tour. He gave a great deal of history about the area. We would have preferred cupcake shops that had places to sit rather than eating outside on the street. Molly’s was the best!

Fun tour if you want to learn about NYC history and eat cupcakes along the way - The best part of the tour was our guide Vince who was very knowledgeable about NYC history and told us many interesting stories. He had a great sense of humor too. We passed by many historical/pop culture landmarks. The cupcakes were just a bonus - I would consider this more of a history tour than a cupcake tour. We didn’t mind that two of the cupcakes were mini because by the end we were so sugared out. It was a fun experience but I received this as a gift otherwise I don’t think it’s worth paying the full price.

Great Walking Tour of Greenwich Village... - Vincent, our tour guide, was a wealth of information and a fantastic storyteller. We loved walking through the beautiful West Village hearing about the early days of Bob Dylan, Jimmy Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Tony Bennett, Stonewall Riots, Death location of Alexander Hamilton, "Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" locations and on and on. If I had to critique this tour at all, it was only that the cupcake part of the tour was limited to three cupcake stops (two of which were only mini cupcakes) and the others were cookies and creme puffs. Maybe change the name of the tour instead of making it all about the cupcakes...but again, overall a great experience.

Cupcake walking Tour in Greenwich Village, NYC - My grandchildren enjoyed listening to the stories about the various cupcake stores and how they originated. They enjoyed walking through the streets and seeing the sites of the city.
Johnnie was a very pleasant and patient tour guide as my grandchildren were also distracted by looking at all the shops we passed too. My only recommendation is that the kids do not have to eat cupcakes at every place. Perhaps they create mini-ones for these tours.

Ok tour, but some logistical issues. - We enjoyed the cupcakes and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city. Unfortunately it was a rainy cold day and we were provided with the wrong meeting spot. We texted the guide to ask where they were and they apologized saying the spot had changed and we just weren’t notified. We walked about 3/4 of a mile to the new meeting spot. Not great given the weather. We also weren’t crazy that the guide walked through no-walking street signs and left members of the group behind to wait for traffic several times. I’ve lived in New York and completely understand the fast walking but given that we had an 8 year old with us, it didn’t feel appropriate.

We only were offered 2... - We only were offered 2 cupcakes. The other items were what seemed to be leftover cake donut holes, coffee beans, and a pastry puff.
Our guide walked very quickly, encouraged us to cross streets outside of crosswalks or when there was clearly a do not walk sign. He seemed to be in very much a hurry. We walked longer distances than I expected with a food walking to her.
Our guide talked about the history of the neighborhood, but some of it was inappropriate for kids, and we had to ask him not to cover a few topics.
I think for a cupcake walking tour we had anticipated this would be appropriate for kids, and we would only eat cupcakes. That was not the case.

worst food tour - I was so excited to bring my son and his girlfriend on the cupcake tour which turned into a disaster. Shah our guide was unprepared and unhelpful. We should have known we were in trouble when she misidentified the Freedom Tower as the Empire State building. The other guests were from Mississippi.
She explained why they were called cupcakes-a cup of each ingredient which was also wrong.
She got us to the first stop Melissa's and misidentified the flavors of the cupcakes. She informed us the next stop would be 20 minute walk. She walked us for 50 minutes around the Jefferson Library after identifying it as a catholic church in victorian style. She was just making things up.
at the 50 minute mark I asked her if she was lost and it was ok we could help her. She emphatically said no and whispered to a stranger for directions who started laughing. Her phone died and she had to borrow someone's and tried to tell us she took us around the not catholic church on purpose. She was almost belligerent when we all noticed we were walking down the same street. All 8 of us agreed and my child even had a picture to prove it.
My husband told her you have 5 minutes she then walked us halfway down a block the wrong way again and that was it for my family. They were hungry.
In addition she had us jaywalking and referred to Union Square as the hood
I wish I was exaggerating but we wrote all this down when we had lunch after leaving our one cupcake tour.
