Must do stage in NYC - The whole visit was wonderful and family friendly, starting from hangar deck, to the amazing flight deck, full of combat air plane like F14 and F16, to the space shuttle enterprise. in front of you Manhattan skyline, in my opinion a must in NYC

Great family day out - The museum is well kept, the attractions a wonderful mix of history and modern tech. The kids were kept captivated and us oldies really found the displays absolutely wonderful. The video of the kamikaze attacks was both touching and moving. What a great experience everyone who visits and lives in nyc should go see

American pride for its armed forces and various developments. - The space is giant and makes us feel the grandness of American participation in wars, in air and water development. The visit to a submarine was something quite different and interesting to experience.

A museum experience for all ages - This museum focuses on the history of naval aviation as well as the specific history of Intrepid herself. The exhibits are lovingly maintained and there is ongoing work to open up other areas of the ship to the public. There is a video shown on the hangar deck recounting the kamikaze hits that the ship incurred that should not be missed. All in all, it was a great experience.

Wonderful tour of an Aircraft Carrier - What a great historical experience. So many veterans available on the carrier to share their own experiences in the military. Very cool to be able to see where everyone slept. Such tight quarters. Also so many planes on display. We did not tour the submarine.

So much fun!! - Absolutely fascinating and eye opening! The submarine is so neat! You can spend a few hours moving through the Intrepid. You need to move through the submarine relatively quick.

Great museum. Only... - Great museum. Only negative was I felt pushed along during the submarine "tour". We lined up for far longer than we were inside for.

Only for Navy/History People - We took 29 adults/high school musical students to New York. Our students sang on the Intrepid. They set them up with pop machines as the background. The kids did not enjoy this museum and would have liked more time to explore 9/11 Memorial.

Poor experience - I was so disappointed with this experience. A number of the aircraft look like models, especially the SR71. The space shuttle was a prototype and not the real thing. I had such high expectations
