Bus was Great! - Great way to see parts of the city. History of places was really interesting And, the soundtrack was worth the price of the ticket alone. I loved it!

The hop on and off can... - The hop on and off can get frustrating if you do not know where you are going. Seeing the city this way was a treat!

Quick way to see the city - My kids loved the tour. Ebi was really helpful with the tickets and answering all our questions. We got to see all the attractions in the city quickly

Overpriced poor state of infrequent buses - The buses were in a poor state A lot of money around £150 for two people for a downtown and up town ride. The uptown bus is only every hour ! Took an hour to get three stops around time square A lot of sellers around Conclusion poor and rip off in terms of cost

Avoid use the subway - Found this to be a terrible way to get round New York. Very expensive compared to subway. The times we used it we had to get off both times early as either it didn’t go all the way to the stop we wanted or the bus broke down. The second day we tried hopping on but each bus was full so gave up and walked. Lots of angry customers at the stops who had not been able to get on multiple buses. A total waste of money a bit of a scam as the have lots of street sellers who are over selling the tours.

WORST service I have ever had - DO NOT USE THEM. Booked a 48 hour pass and on the second day I could not use it as they said it was for 24 hours only. On returning to the hotel I saw my confirmation was for 48 hours. Buses very inconsistent and no timetable available. I printed the booking receipt out at the time and when we tried to board the bus they wanted the app on my phone as they do not accept the printed receipt with the bar code. I then bought tickets for the boat cruise from another company as they did not want to honor my ticket. Plenty of sales people at every corner of NYC but nobody can help you if you have a problem. The supervisor at Time Square refused to use her business phone and I had to use my own. NO SERVICE WHAT SO EVER

Buyer Beware - Use Big Bus instead - Based on my experience, I would avoid using TopView and use Big Bus. I was on a family trip with my 75 yr old mom. This bus tour sounded like a perfect way to see the city. We attempted to use our 24 hour pass by getting on the bus at the Flat Iron stop. During the 90 minutes we waited at the stop, only 4 TopView buses stopped and each one of them was either full or could take like 2 people. During that 90 minute period, at least 10 Big Bus busses were at the stop. After 90 minutes, my mom could not wait any longer and she could not walk to another stop. We had to get to her back to the hotel. I reached out to Top View for a possible refund. They hid behind their terms of service and said no refunds. The best they would do was extend the use of my tickets for a year but that does not do anything for me back at my home state. If you are looking for a hop on/hop off, I suggest you skip Top View and use Big Bus. Once they get your money, you are stuck and they will hide behind their terms that say no refunds even if they have a product that you could not use.

Bad transportation experience - Buses were late, gentlemen selling tickets were very pushy, bus drivers were rude to passengers, no narration on our first bus, drivers noticeably did not like their jobs. One of the drivers was swearing and answering his personal phones calls while driving the bus. We waited 45 minutes at one stop, were told 15 minutes. Overall not a good experience. I would choose Big Bus, only based on number of buses & stops we saw.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Poor Organization and Rude Staff - This was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had — a total waste of time and money. First of all, the online map didn’t work, so it was impossible to track when or where the bus would arrive. Several stops shown on the map were either incorrect, moved several blocks away, or even completely canceled without any notice. I am pregnant, and I struggled to reach one of those stops, only to find out from company representatives (who were selling tickets nearby) that the stop had been removed. There was no way to know this in advance since it was still shown on the map. Some stops were extremely far apart, which made things even harder. The main reason we purchased this tour was to avoid excessive walking, but we ended up walking much more than expected. In addition, certain stops were meant to be transfer points between lines (for example, from Uptown to Downtown), yet our driver simply skipped two of them without any explanation. We had to walk again just to catch another bus. The website advertises buses every 15–20 minutes, but after purchasing the ticket and downloading the app, it suddenly changes to 30–60 minutes. There is also no mention of any breaks or downtime. At one point, we waited 15 minutes for a bus and then sat inside for another 35 minutes before departure. Because of this poor timing, we only got to see Central Park from the bus — there was no opportunity to get off and enjoy it, since no other buses would come afterward. To make matters worse, one of the drivers behaved very rudely and unprofessionally toward passengers. Overall, this tour was a huge disappointment. The organization, communication, and customer service were all unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Don’t Do It. Just don’t. Complete Rip Off. - Total disaster. We purchased tickets for both the uptown and downtown tours-because it was such a "deal". $79 per person instead of $59 for one route. We veered off route at Times Square and just seemed to wander aimlessly. There was no narration, just music, because we weren't on route so we saw NOTHING that we should have once leaving Times Square (which was just one stop beyond where we got on). There is no live narration just an audio that can't adapt to route changes. I kept looking at the map to see where we were and we were so off route I couldn't believe it. Traffic was a nightmare, which was beyond the company's control but what wasn't was the fact that they knew roads were closed and the route wasn’t accessible so they should not have sold us the tickets telling us the route was 30 minutes. It took us 2 hours to finally give up. We were nowhere near Battery Park or the Brooklyn Bridge or any of the places we were supposed to be. We asked the driver to let us off after 2 hours of total boredom. Somehow we were within a couple blocks of Grand Central so we just ended our day on a very disappointed note and caught a train home. We spent $166 for what amounted to a 2 hour bus ride to Grand Central. Something we could have achieved for free with a 20 minute walk. Total rip off.
