A Good Night Out - There is a lot of walking, but so worth it. Our guide Maddy was a very pleasant and knowledgeable person. She gave us a great tour of haunted sights in the West Village, NYC.

Good history tour of the Village - Some really good history of places around the Village. It wasn’t as spooky as we thought it would be, but overall it was very enjoyable.

History and Spirts - It was dark and rainy, great night for a ghost tour. Loved all the history about all the things that have left so many spirts restless but the history of Greenwich. This was our first time there. Joel was very informative. He did a great job making things interesting. My fav was the history of Washington park, no wonder it is haunted. For my cousin it was the Shirtwaist factory Fire memorial . Joel was very passionate about this event. Great tour.

See and hear interesting facts and history of the buildings and streets of Greenwich Village and NYC. - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this great walking tour of Greenwich Village. This is an excellent way to get to see a little of the city that you may not see otherwise. Walking the streets of Greenwich Village and hearing some of the very interesting stories and history surrounding the area and buildings is a highly recommended way to spend some time soaking it all in. Our guide was great and very informative and kept the stories and history alive.

A final stop inside a place with wi-fi would be great - It was ok, and the host was moderately interested and interesting. I did get the sense that she was going through the motions and dealing with life stress. I do recommend not being physically tired when you go, because it did involve a huge amount of walking. There were uneven surfaces, cobble stone streets and walking hazards that were apparent, and we were walking in the dark. At least one person tripped during the tour. I think a smaller group would be better. I have a hearing loss and tried hard to stay near the front of the group so I could better hear the stories. Kids that were in the group always got in front not understanding my dilemma. I had to stand very close behind other people who didn’t understand why I was standing so close. Finally, when the tour was over, we were in an area without cell phone signal and I had to go into a little restaurant nearby, and order a drink just so I could use their wi-fi. Why the need for wi-fi? To order an uber. I never found the Uber and walked several blocks to get wi-fi and get a ride back to my hotel. It wouldn’t be so bad except I had been walking all day and was exhausted.

Ghost tour or a casual walk? - We joined the Ghost Tour of Greenwich Village with high expectations, but overall the experience felt underwhelming. The organization was not ideal: too many stops, each covered briefly and without much depth. Most stories lacked structure or historical background, often reduced to vague claims of people “seeing something” rather than solid, engaging narratives. Between stops, there were long stretches of walking—sometimes ten minutes—without any context about the area or the sights. The guide seemed hurried and somewhat mechanical, delivering lines as if from a script, without passion or a personal touch to spark the imagination. Having done ghost tours in London and Scotland, the contrast was striking: there, guides add personality, context, and layers of history. Here, the stories felt rushed and approximate. That said, a couple of tales did stand out—not thanks to the guide’s storytelling, but simply because the history itself was intriguing! And to be fair, if you want an excuse to stroll around Greenwich Village, it’s worth it: the neighborhood is charming, full of atmosphere, and you might discover some excellent bars and restaurants along the way. In the end, the tour works more as a casual walk than as an immersive ghostly experience. Suggestions: fewer stops, but with richer storytelling, less reliance on “sightings,” and more focus on concrete history and characters.

No Ghosts Here ! - Sadly, this is not a Ghost tour as we expected. We have done fantastic ones in York UK and Scotland , where the guide dresses up & take part with great enthusiasm and the stories are amazing. I don't want to be rude, but this is more a walk around the area , with an iPad showing what the guide can say to us and very poor I feel. We did many other New York attractions & tours that where far batter & worth wile on hard spent money , I would advise avoiding this sadly.
