Fascinating tour of iconic transportation hub - No matter how many times you have walked through Grand Central Terminal, you can learn something new, see something you never saw before, and discover new perspectives of this iconic transportation center. As a commuter, I rushed through without appreciating the nuances. It was great to have opportunity to return as a tourist and take a guided walk with someone who eager and expertly shared historical antidotes and pointed out architectural features.

Don’t Miss this Tour of Grand Central Terminal - This was an amazing tour - very thorough and informative. I have lbeen to Grand Central many times but never took a tour - it is highly recommended. Our tour guide, Joe, was an expert in the history of the Terminal. He also provided pictures to add to the experience. In addition, he went above and beyond to find a missing item that my friend left behind at one of our stops. He engaged each person in the group to ensure they enjoyed the tour. You can tell he loves his job and he excels at it. I want to also mention ZZ who was so welcoming (and stylish!) at the tour window and fitted us with our ear pieces. The head phones were occasionally needed to hear the guide on this busy afternoon in Grand Central.
One note - this is a pretty active tour. It is 90 minutes long. You will get a ton of steps in while you walk throughout the terminal and outside to 42nd Street. The tour costs less than $40 and is worth every penny.

Grand Central is more central than you think! - Kevin knew his subject. Along with help from photos on his IPad, he showed how periods of NY history have affected the history of GCS.

Interesting and informative. - Our guide was Rob. The tour was interesting and informative. Walked at an easy pace with maximum use of escalators keeping stairs to a minimum. The tour covered everything listed apart from the transport museum.

A value-packed tour of a landmark - Mike was a tremendous tour guide-informative, succinct and fun. He provided a wealth of information on the history, design, operation and preservation of the terminal historic in an interesting presentation. . A well-paced and comprehensive tour of a cultural landmark.

Poor experience - I am really sorry to write this review but we were very disappointed to have missed this. We were booked, asked to arrive at 2.45pm which we did at 2.43pm the 'Tour Guide' arrived with his flag at 2.45 counted the numbers and asked folk to walk on. He did not introduce himself to anyone, we thought it was another tour so didn't go with him. At 3pm we realised we should have. We have been offered no refund as they are saying it was our fault. What a shame never mind lesson learned. The tour operator did offer to reschedule at our expense !!!
