Bethesda Fountain - The central feature of the lower terrace, Bethesda Fountain, designed by Emma Stebbins in 1868 and unveiled in 1873, is also known as the Angel of the Waters. Stebbins was the first woman to receive a public commission for a major work of art in New York City.
