Fun, worth the trip - Had a blast and found some gold. Our guide Sam was informative and friendly. I recommend taking shoes off and getting in the water for a good pan.

Fun Time!!! - We were in town visiting from Northern Louisiana. Great experience our tour guide Joaquin was very knowledgeable about the area he led us right to the water and explained the process. The whole experience took two hours. We could have stayed there all day. Thank you Arizona Outdoor Fun.

Awesome experience - This was amazing! Jake was a great guide and did everything he could to help us find gold! We found some small flakes and def made the experience great. He said not many people do this and they are definitely missing out…we start with very very small fragments and were hooked.

Great experience with awesome guides! - My friends and I did the guided hiking and gold panning tour and we really enjoyed it. Our guides, Riley and Jake, were fantastic- friendly, informative, fun to chat with, and just overall bought such a great energy to the tour. The hike is short especially if you’re used to hiking quite a bit but it gave us a lot of time to gold pan. Jake and Riley guided us thru the steps of how to gold pan and we had so much fun doing it. We even found a tiny tiny gemstone and some gold flakes! Thank you to both for a great experience. It’s only our first week in Arizona but having done this, we are looking forward to exploring more. I would definitely come back and do more tours.

Gold fever - My husband and two boys took a morning gold panning excursion. They were excited to be led by the tour guide Riley who we had also had on a UTV excursion. They said they really enjoyed the hike down to the river. Riley took the time to explain a little bit about the area and the geography. When they got to the water, Riley was very patient and taught them how to pan the gold. They were really excited to actually find some gold. It was a wonderful excursion.

Fun experience - Sam was entertaining and did a great job with the kids. We enjoyed the hike and panning. Beautiful views along the way and in the creek. Didn’t find a lot of gold, but it was a memorable experience for the kids. We would go back for some of the putter tours they had to offer.

No gold just the scenery - I was a bit disappointed with this experience. Riley was our tour guide and it was just myself and my friend whom booked this experience. Upon arrival we headed down the trail to the river spot where we were going to do the mining. Please bring water shoes as they will come in handy and wear shorts or pants that can easily be pulled up. We didn’t venture out to dig it was all within the same spot and to be honest there wasn’t much of anything. We didn’t find but one or 2 flakes of gold more like specs but you do find cool rocks. At the end Riley will put all your finding in a bottle for you but to be honest I would recommend you do this step yourself to avoid losing your findings. Bring a magnet, it should help sort.

not a super easy hike - Our guide was very nice but not very knowledgeable, he couldn’t tell us what the different kinds of rocks we were finding were. That wasn’t that big of a deal but what was upsetting was him getting lost on our way back to the start. He kept changing directions and led us up steep exchanges and through very thorny brush. After the heat and the elevation getting to us, the last thing we needed was to get scratched up and bleeding, which is exactly what happened.
