Here's a toast to TOAST! - Our walking cemetery tour was guided by a man named TOAST! We met at a coffee shop and were a little early. Toast came over and engaged us in delightful conversation. He made my daughters and husband feel special by asking questions about their lives. I told him my oldest has Autism. That set the stage for this man to really take into consideration, her feelings, and mannerisms. He also bonded with my other daughter over true crime, books, and all things eerie! Let me tell you, it was over 100 degrees for our walking tour! We stayed in the shade as much as possible. Toast was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, kind, and really respectful of people actually visiting loved ones at the cemetery. As we went on with the tour, my daughter with Autism was getting really hot. Toast went and got his car and we got to ride in his air conditioned car for the rest of the tour. This man went above and beyond in so many ways. Not only was he a magnificent guide, he was just a genuinely nice human being. If you get a chance to request Toast as your guide, you will learn so many new facts about New Orleans, the people, geography, culture, as well as cemetery symbolism, monetary reasons why the various graveyards are the way they are, and some fun stories along the way.

Great Experience! - The Daytime Cemetery Tour was the only sight-seeing opportunity I had while in town for a work function, and Toast definitely made it worth it. He was just the right mix of accommodating, fun, knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. The meeting spot was easy to get to by streetcar, and had clean bathrooms and good refreshments for sale. 10/10 Would do again!

Toast wins the tour guide championship! - We went on this tour with our large group of 11 that consisted of 5 children and a 19 month old, to say our tour guide Toast was amazing would be doing a disservice to him. Toast was very knowledgeable about the information he was telling us, all without missing a beat when he would get a question about shells from a 9 year old. He was not only knowledgeable and funny, but patient and compassionate as he was dealing with said 19 month old escaping her wagon to said 9 year old upset because she didnt understand why she couldnt take stuff from cemetery and he patienly explained and made her feel better (which he didnt have to do) and 2 kids at least in his personal space at all times. I highly recommend this experience and I would look for another tour with Toast as the guide. When you can get a kiddo who isn't a hugger to tell you thank you and open his arms for a hug mid-tour, I think you've won the tour guide game.

Cemetery walk - We had Thorn as our tour guide. He had a ton of knowledge to share. We learned about the history of the New Orleans cemeteries. Thorn was very entertaining and the tour was educational. He did his best to keep us in the shade when possible. Would definitely recommend.

Could be better - Toast knew a lot and was passionate about the condition of the cemeteries. Unfortunately he told a lot of really stupid jokes and brought too many politics about religion and race into his delivery. The day was hot and sunny and we stood a long time in some places in the sun. Put a warning on the tour info to bring water, sunscreen and hats! His delivery was giving in a really sing song tone and the facts where wrapped in jokes so he was hard to follow and understand. Not the worst - just meh.

Okay Cemetary Tour there are much better ones - Honestly it was a little disappointing. This was our third tour on this trip and it was just boring. Seemed to be a lot of time wasting just to fill in the two hour gap. Tour guide was good but content just not all that interesting on this one. Gave all other tours 5 stars.
