Awesome experience - The tour guide was amazing and knew so much about the swamp. If you are not an experienced kayaker I would not recommend this tour. Bring bug spray

MJ makes an already great tour magical - Terrific tour with a terrific tour guide, MJ. She is a Master Naturalist. She knows everything about everything. Very friendly and accommodating and also entertaining. She is passionate about her subject and shows it. Ask her a question and she has not only the answer, but the reason behind the answer, and the history behind it, and the reason the answer used to be different, and the current research on the answer. Don't worry about alligators, they are small and don't eat us. The tour itself is the best thing I've done in New Orleans so far. It's so beautiful out there. I'm going to try to get out again for the five hour tour. (I am a real person. Not a made up review.)

Beautiful swamp tour - Our guide Nick was very knowledgeable and led us into narrow side channels off the main bayous and canals where we could really experience the beauty and sounds of the swamp. We saw alligators, juvenile and adult owls, fledgeling herons in a nest, turtles, beautiful cedar trees hanging with moss and giant lotus pads. The tour was everything we had hoped for!

Great group experience - Amazing experience! Our guide Nick was truly the owl whisperer, we saw so much beautiful wildlife. Nick was very informative and he'll take you as far as you want to go, if you can keep up with him. We loved it, would do it again. Does involve some physical activity, a good work out

A wonderful nature escape! - It was a perfect getaway from the city life. We saw herons, alligators, ospreys, anhingas to name a few. The serenity and beauty were refreshing to the soul! Our tour guide Allie was the best! She explained what to expect every step of the way and her own love of nature was infectious. She was also very knowledgeable about the history, the flora and the wildlife. I would definitely recommend!

Great way to get out and see nature - I had a fantastic time on the Manchac Swamp Wildlife Kayak Tour. The tour lasted about 2 ½ hours, taking us through beautiful bayous and out to the lake — absolutely stunning scenery! It was very practical and well-organized. Definitely make sure to wear sandals instead of tennis shoes, and don’t forget to bring water and sunscreen — you’ll need them. We got to see alligators up close, which was incredible. Our guide, River, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this tour if you want a real taste of Louisiana’s natural beauty!

Could be a good... - Could be a good experience for someone able to keep pace with the guide. For our family it was hard, and barely got to see the tour guide few times over the course of 2.5 hrs on the swamps. The swamp itself is beautiful and could be a so much better experience if the guide takes everybody along. We mostly got the last few bits of stories and information shared at different spots.
