Highly recommend - The tour was fantastic, and my family had a great time. The plantation grounds were stunning, and our driver, Melinda, was very friendly and knowledgeable, she provided us with information during the ride there. I highly recommend it!

What an experience! - I have to say my experience at the Whitney Plantation was an experience from the things I've read regarding African American slavery. This was a deeper look into history for me focusing on slaves perspectives. It was emotional for me to see some of the things in person regarding my people's encounters. My ancestors literally endured many things and now I'm honored to experience what many hoped for. Our driver Robert couldn't have been any better, he was amazing, and so passionate. Please! Request Robert if you can. Although, this was a self guided tour Robert provided great history regarding New Orleans. Thank you!

A very moving experience - The Whitney was a moving experience. I won’t forget the stories and images of what happened to those poor slaves. Also our bus driver Robert was amazing and gave us an extended tour of the other plantations in the area

Moving Experience - I appreciated the effective message regarding slavery from the slaves' perspective that was communicated at the Whitney Plantatibusses. Was a moving experience. My only recommdation is that they provide more benches for persons waiting in the heat for a tour bus. A few food items or snacks for purchase would be appreciated.

Not able to view the... - Not able to view the interior of the plantation house! Thought we’d have a verbal tour guide, but had to do self guided. Very disappointed. NO FOOD options other than potato chips to purchase!
