Everyone should do this! - This tour is a must if you are headed to New Orleans. Erin was fantastic in every way! Her knowledge and passion of the history and culture was incredible. The birth of jazz, the struggles people of color face, their journeys and what changed the shape of New Orleans. Erin is brilliant and should run the city❤️

Keep the Treme Tour Alive! - We partook on our tour on April 7, 2024 with Erin. It is clear that Erin is passionate about this topic as she told us about her research methods of collaborating with local museums and community members to curate an entire website that is dedicated towards painstakingly documenting the history of an often overlooked, yet crucial part of New Orlean’s rich history. We were fascinated by how much information Erin was able to share within a short loop through the [somewhat ironically-named] Armstrong Park, up to Treme Community Center and to St. Augustine Church. In doing this tour we were taken out of the touristy downtown and offered a more authentic experience of the community and people that have and continue to shape New Orleans as the city we all know and love. Erin also finds an incredible balance in explaining the sobering and nuanced realities of slavery and systemic racism in New Orleans while also highlighting the victories won by people of color in this neighborhood and the greater impact they’ve had not only in Louisiana but also the US and the world. We are so grateful for this tour and hope to see Erin continue this mission of advocating for the remembrance of such a beautiful part of New Orleans.

Informative and moving - This was an incredibly important tour to go on to learn the history and cultural fabric of New Orleans, the history of the civil rights movement and so much more. I left with so much more of an understanding of black history in America. Erin was so informative and respectful.
