Great sight of history - Karen was our guide. She was wonderful! Gave us a tour and kept us entertained on the ride over. She also helped with those that only booked one with an add on for both. Laura plantation was more extensive with stories. Oak Alley was more quick. Both unique in their own right. Oak Alley is more photogenic compared to Laura.

Step Back in Time - How wonderful that we were able to see what plantation life was like. This plantation was preserved beautifully and our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful. It was fascinating to envision what life was like there. We loved the access we had to the buildings. This is definitely a tour to take!

Enlightening experience - This was an eye opening experience. Karen was our bus driver and guide down to the plantation. She was very knowledgeable and made the driver down effortlessly. I was taken back about the stories we heard and how Oak Alley and Laura plantations came about. It was touching and a great experience for my family to see how far we have come, but also how much more further we need to go in this United States. It's definitely a must see ! Cajun encounters is a great tour company! Will come back and tour with them again.

Doing 2 rather than 1 is a must! - The Laura plantation is so informative and you really see all sides of life. Such an interesting back story of the family! Oak Alley is STUNNING and you defiantly focus more on the architecture of the house. The food was also outstanding! Doing both gives you a real overview of life for the owners and the slaves so would definitely recommend doing 2 plantations rather than 1 to get a better understanding.

Great tour of two plantations - Enjoyable visit of two different plantations. One, Creole style (Laura) and the other, American style (Oak Alley). Definitely recommend this tour. Bus driver was also great.

Steve is an excellent bus driver/guide! - This was a great combination & we learned a lot! Our bus driver, Steve (Cajun Encounters Tour Company), was informative as well as entertaining! He let us know that since we're doing both tours, we won't have time for the restaurant for lunch, but said the deli was great (he was right)! He was even nice enough to drop us off closer to our hotel, being the last 2 passengers! I did separate reviews of the plantations.

Plantation visits - Enjoyed the visits to both plantations and the guides particularly the one in Laura were excellent. The only slight issue was the bus which was like an American school bus so it was a bit rickety!
