- French Quarter - The tour includes approximately 6-7 food and beverage tastings. We will visit some of the establishments recommended in numerous cookbooks.
Stroll through streets of French Quarter visiting interesting food venues that are not just eateries. Cooking demonstration in fun and relaxed atmosphere that is enough for lunch. Knowledgeable hosts and guides with enthusiastic energy. This tour can be customized.
Optional: Cocktails at well-known uptown Bed and Breakfast on the Avenue overlooking the gorgeous oaks and the St. Charles street car line, followed by relaxed dining and enjoyment at your choice of Bayona, Galatoire’s, Commander’s Palace, or one of many other restaurants. (Our concierge service will arrange transportation service if needed).

Visit the New Orleans Cooking school for a culinary demonstration. Get insights on how to prepare popular Louisiana dishes, paired with local beer, beverages, and plenty of food for a mid-day meal. Embark on an epicurean adventure with Destination Kitchen’s 3-hour food tasting walk, exploring some of the quarter’s renowned and frequented diners while gaining knowledge about the city’s history and culture. The cooking session, scheduled for 2 hours, will follow the gastronomic foot journey.

Amazing Food Tour with Susan - Our Food Tour with Susan was just wonderful!! She was so knowledgeable and gave us so much information…history of New Orleans, history of the different food tastings. The food tasting selection was terrific too. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this Food Tour and would highly recommend it! Thank you, Susan!

Fantastic food tour! - Our guide Laurent was fantastic. He knew lots of history of NOLA and had recommendations for places to visit and eat. The tour included lots of food!

Highly Recommend Nate! - Nate, our guide through the French Quarter, was fabulous! He provided historical information that enhanced the cuisine at that time. Nate took us to his favorite places in the Quarter to sample creole and cajun food. This tour is excellent for French Quarter newcomers and those who have visited many times.

Great guide, good food, fun facts! - Wonderful tour. Kristi was outstanding with her skills as a tour guide and her knowledge of the food and cultural history of New Orleans. She made it educational and fun.
I've been a tour guide for 18 years and know how hard it is. She was the best I've experienced anyplace in the world!
The restaurants we visited were varied and the food was unique. Wonderful experience!
We also took the cooking class and it was fun. Rene was humorous and a good teacher.
My only suggestion is to not allow strollers and very young children in this tour. One child screamed during much of it and disrupted the entire group. Strollers and baby carriages are difficult to navigate and were in the way of the group moving smoothly through crowded areas. This should be an adults only tour.

Good tour but perhaps avoid a drink order. - Our guide was enthusiastic and knew the food culture of the area. The tour has been set up as a rapid fire tasting of a number of local foods. I would generally recommend this tour.
I rated it four stars rather than five for one very specific reason. During the tour the guide recommended we try a drink that was not on the menu. He described it as his favorite. When the drink was received, it was accompanied by a bill for $29. I did then recall that liquor was not included in the price the tour, but it seem like this was a recommended sampling. It was not. I felt a bit trapped. There was also inadequate time to drink the drink and when we got to the next tasting he said that they really didn't want us to bring outside drinks in. But again, except for this which people should be aware of It was a good tour.
